a tap on my shoulder startled me from my sulking session and i turned around to meet your chocolate brown eyes, filled with concern. ugh, i could just melt looking into those orbs.

"kookie," you said, "what are you doing here?"

i was suddenly reminded of why i was sulking in the first place and turned my back on you with a huff. i heard yourepeat the question but i don't pay any mind to it, and instead, i watched my feet kick the ocean water up onto the pier i was sitting on. it was kind of immature to throw a mini tantrum like this but i couldn't help how i was feeling. i couldn't believe you would agree to your friends' suggestion to go to san diego that easily. you could have asked for my opinion first at least.

i heard you chuckle softly and felt you sit down next to me. i tried to scoot away from you but you grabbed my waist and pulled me closer. i attempted to wriggle out of your grasp but you had a tight hold on me. i could never stay mad at you for long, no matter how hard i tried.

"kookieee, i know why you're mad, but you can at least talk to me."

that made me scoff. "why should i? it's not my fault you made such a spontaneous decision without my consent."

then you played with my one weakness: your puppy eyes. "i'm sorry, kookie. please forgive me. but think about it this way, we get to spend every minute together on our boat. all alone. it's romantic, isn't it?"

my lips curved up into a smile almost immediately just from thinking about what we could do. watching the sunset, swimming, cuddling. it was almost insane how quickly my anger could dissipate when it came to spending time with you.

"i guess.... it won't be that bad," i said, turning my face away so you wouldn't see my smile.

"you're the best, kookie," your cute giggle filled my ears. "don't worry, i'll make it up to you."

"you better."

i heard you squeal a little and you pinched my cheek, "you're so cute when you pout, baby!"

i felt the blood rushing to my face as you then smothered me in a bear hug and attacked my face with kisses. we both started laughing uncontrollably as we rolled around on the pier, a flurry of love and happiness. your lips met mine and I melted into the kiss, forgetting about all my previous feelings of anger.

i pulled away, panting, and looked up to see an angel on top of me. your soft skin, your cute moles, everything about you was so perfect.

"god, i love you," i said, breathlessly. the sunlight shining behind you made you seem even more angelic than i thought was humanly possible.

your eyes lit up and you captured my lips with another sweet kiss.

"i love you too, kookie."
