30 days adrift
"looks like we're heading into a storm."
i glanced up, my heart dropping into my stomach.
a multitude of dark clouds were gathering in front of us. we were a ways away, but it didn't look like it would be very welcoming.
i gulped, a torrent of memories flooding back into my mind of the hurricane.
the day i had lost you.
i struggled to stand. "what are we going to do?"
taehyung took my hand. "we'll just have to go through it."
"we'll be alright."
i closed my eyes, pushing all the horrible memories away.
we're fine.
taehyung is fine.
he's here with me.
we'll get through this together, just like we did before.
i took a shaky breath and nodded, squeezing taehyung's hand and feeling the first droplet of rain hit my sunburnt skin.
