Chapter 18

Aphmau's POV

Leo and Flippy had buried their heads into my sides at this point. They don't do well with new people... I sit down, carefully, as not to hurt them, inside of the circle my friends had made. As soon as I sit down though, Leo and Flippy release me, sitting as close to me as possible. Castor sees this and grabs Flippy, pulling him into his lap before sliding over next to me. I send him a grateful look before Leo climbs into my lap. Every girl, excluding Katelyn, aww at our little moment before Laurence starts the game.

"Okay," He begins, "Aph, truth or dare?" I ponder the question, letting myself think of the worst possibilities. If I pick truth, they could ask for my darkest fear. If I choose dare, they could try to make me do something I don't want to do.

I finally decide to pick the chicken route, "Truth, please."

Castor gives me a questioning look, obviously thinking the same thing I had before Laurence replies, "Hmm, you said your parents on a business trip, right? What do they do for work?"

I look over at Castor, his eyes slightly widened. We both know if I'm completely honest with my answer that it'll give us away. That's if I'm completely honest.

"Uh, they volunteer to help out the unfortunate of the world," Not completely honest but good enough answer for them.

I only see Laurence give me a small nod as we continue on with the game until it's my turn to ask, so I turn to the small figure in my lap, "Leo? Truth or dare?"

He looks up at me, kind of confused by the question before he answers, "Truth, Momma!" Shoot. Not now Leo! What did Castor and I tell you before we came here!?

I watch everyone gawk(en) at me before Kawaii~Chan speaks up, "Aphmau~Senpai, why did Leo~Kun call Aphmau~Senpai 'Mom'?"

Urgh, Leo, you had better be glad I think ahead. I'm not sure they'll buy this though...

Eh, somethings better than nothing, right?

"Uh, well our parents are always out so he sees me as kind of a motherly figure! Yeah, that's it..." I tell them, mumbling the last part.

Nobody looks like they believed it though. They all turn to look at Lucinda for help.

"What? You want me to use a truth potion on her? Come on guys, don't stoop to that level." Thank Thor she's on my side...

"Hold her captive first then a truth potion," I swear, I can never catch a break with these people. I watch them all walk closer to me. I back up ever so slowly. Both Flippy and Leo had come over and hidden behind my legs at this point. What are we going to do?
