Aphmau POV

After a while of being chased by both Mitch and Jerome who had begun tag-teaming me after they chased me for a good bit, I chanced turning to catch them off guard. I guess they weren't expecting it because they both were frozen in place as I jumped over their heads. I began running for the hills, hearing their playfully angry growls behind me. I chance a glance over my shoulders to see them catching up them now. Or rather, Jerome catching up to me since Mitch was nowhere to be seen. This certainly isn't going to end we-

Owwww

Did he have to tackle me? I mean is that necessary? I give him a warning growl before swinging a paw at him. He jumped back, alarmed before Jerome skidded to a stop next to him. I could feel some control slipping from me and before I knew it, I was seconds away from attacking Mitch when I was suddenly grabbed by my scruff.

"Jess! What are you doing?!" I could feel some control again as I forced myself to shift, even though I could feel Aphmau try to push her way back into control and keep us as a wolf.

"What is wrong with you!?" I hissed lowly in hopes that the pack wouldn't hear me curse to my other side. I had a feeling they heard anyway since I watched them take a step back collectively. I knew it was a necessary evil though because I had to know why she was so desperate to reveal herself.

'I'm protecting you! I'm protecting something you obviously haven't figured out yet! You should be grateful right now, since if I didn't have that instinct you might be in a lot more emotional pain!' I rubbed my temples as I tried to decipher what she was on about. I decided to temporarily push it to the back of my mind though since I knew I had to get to the hall or Sly'd send out every resource he had to get me.

"Yeah, yeah tell me about it later will you?" I told her before looking up at the pack, "Don't mind me going insane over here, just remembered I have to get going to the hall." They all still looked worried but it seemed like they were going to delay thinking about it as they nodded.

Vikky looked over at me, "That's probably a good idea. See you later, okay?" Before I could respond though, Rob spoke up.

"You better keep talking to us though!" He ordered. I laughed at his nonsensical self before nodding.

"Why wouldn't I-" I was interrupted by a tackle from another person. This one though has been around me for a while.

"Castor get your fat self off of me before I rain the anger of the heavens down on you!" He quickly maneuvered himself off of me before glancing around himself at everyone that surrounded us. He quickly pulled me close to him before pulling out his bow and arrows and aiming at them. I very quickly grabbed his arm and pointed the bow at the ground.

"Cas, no. Their old friends of mine," I told him as I shook my head. He continued glaring before slinging his bow over his shoulder.

"Well, we have to go anyway. Sly's afraid you disappeared again."

"Wait how did you get your suit?" We said at the same time. He just shook his head.

"I went to your vault and grabbed it before I can back. Now say goodbye and let's go because it's even more depressing watching Sly be depressed then just knowing it's happening." I gave the pack a wave as they shifted and ran back through the trees that they had come from as Castor swung me onto his back and began running. I gasped in surprise and held onto him.

And before I knew it, we had made it to our destination...
