"A DNA test?" Suho repeated just to make sure he had heard Chen correctly.
Chen nodded. The usual mischief in his eyes was replaced with solemnness.
"Luhan's paternal uncle claims that Luhan was adopted. That means Luhan has no rights whatsoever to the money or the property left behind by his dad. Neither your mum nor Luhan's dad had made a will. By law, the estate of the deceased automatically goes the next of kin related by blood. So if the uncle's claim is true and Luhan has no blood ties with them, then everything his parents had left behind belongs to the uncle."
Suho leaned back in his chair as he absorbed all this. Chen continued.
"So the uncle is asking for a DNA test. Using his DNA to match against Luhan's – it should still provide at least 90 percent accuracy."
Suho played with his pen for a moment.
"Does Luhan know?"
Chen nodded. Suho looked up to meet Chen's eyes.
"How is he taking it?"
Chen shrugged.
"He was surprised but he agreed. He actually finds the idea that he was adopted funny. He's taking it lightly."
Suho hummed.
"And what are your thoughts?" he asked Chen.
Chen gave a sigh.
"I think the Uncle won't be making baseless accusations. I think he has some solid proof and the DNA test is the final confirmation."
Suho froze slightly as he studied his friend before him.
"You are saying that Luhan may not be related to me at all"
The silence that followed was all the affirmation Suho needed.

Mister Kwon stared helplessly at the 6 bentos in different stages of preparation scattered all over his once clean counter.
"Luhan ah! What are you up to?"
Luhan looked up at him with a bright smile. The cook was usually the first in the kitchen, so he was surprised to see Luhan hard at work in his kitchen so early in the morning.
"What time did you even start?" Mister Kwon asked Luhan.
Luhan gave a quick glance at the clock and shrugged.
"Maybe around five. I couldn't sleep and I found this website with so many easy and new recipes so I decided to give them a try."
He scratched his head sheepishly as he grinned at the older man.
"I think I went overboard actually. I made too many dishes."
He chuckled.
"Luckily our fridge is big enough to accommodate."
Mister Kwon laughed out loud as he approached Luhan and ruffled his hair. He had grown fond of this boy who was trying so hard to win Suho's acceptance. Luhan had a genuine interest and natural culinary skills; making it a pleasure for the cook to teach him. He smiled widely as he studied the bentos on the counter.
"For EXO?" he asked Luhan as he gestured at them.
Luhan nodded excitedly.
"For EXO. Baekhyun hyung is never going to talk to me again unless I make him a bento. Xiumin hyung isn't helping the situation by posting the photos of the lunches I make him."
