Suho smiled to himself when he heard Luhan huff once more as he shuffled on the sofa in his office. He looked up to see Luhan was playing games on his phone. Everyone was busy today! They were waiting for the toxicology report from Sehun. Kyunsoo and Xuimin were checking the CCTV footage as well as the hidden camera to catch Candy in the act and the the rest were busy with their own appointments as well. Sumo had insisted that Luhan stay with him. He was afraid that the wretched girl might do something to the younger one if the boy was alone. So Luhan's protest had fallen on dearf ears and he found himself in Suho's office after pretending to move out of Suho's home. Suho graoned to himself when Luhan sighed once more.
"Luhan? Could you get me some lunch?"
He heard the boy mutter something to himself.
"what was that?" Suho asked.
Luhan groaned as he sat up.
"I said I could have made you lunch! Now you want unhealthy food!"
Suho burst out laughing at the sight of the pouty Luhan. Luhan smiled softly to himself as he watched the older man. Quietly he took out his phone to take photo.
"Why are you taking my photo for?"
Luhan smiled to himself as he looked at the photo.
"Because I wanted a nice photo of you to remember you by when I have to leave, Suho shi."
Suho's smile faltered.
"What are you talking abo-"
A knock on the door interrupted his question. Chen let himself in, his usual smile replaced by a grim line. He simply nodded at both of them before his troubled eyes searched out Luhan.
"Luhan. I...don't know how to put this?"
Both Luhan and Suho had similar puzzled looks on their faces. Chen would have laughed had it been a lighter situation. He took a deep breadth before staring straight into Luhan's wide innocent eyes.
"Just remember that EXO is there for you and we will get you out!"
Suho Stood up as alarm bells strated ringing in his head.
"Chen, what is wrong?"
Chen gazed at them, his eyes held both pain and anger.
"The police have requested for Luhan's ...help in their investigation regarding Candy being poisoned." He stated as professional as he could.
"WHAT!"
Chen held up his hands.
"I don't have all the details yet. But I am already working on the bail. "
"What the hell is she up to? " Suho burst out frustrated.
Out of all the scenarios, he hadn't expected the girl to frame Luhan by consuming poison herself.
"Fuck!" He yelled.
"Chen shi? Do I wait for the police offcers or can I go to the station myself?" a quiet calm voice asked.
Suho's eyes wided in ahock."You are not going anywhere, Luhan! Chen will-"
"I can't do anything Suho!" Chen interrupted, the frustration evident in his own voice. "This is an attempted murder investigation! Do you understand? My fucking hands are tied!"
The silence that followed his outburst almost suffocated Suho. He could only hear the pounding of his own heart.
"Hyung? Suho Shi? Its ...ok. Calm down."
Suho swallowed hard as he turned to see Luhan smiled at them even though his own eyes showed fear.
"I know you will help me...I know you are there for me. It's ok! I'm scared but I...I'll be brave ok."
He turned his teary gaze to Chen.
"What should I do now, Chen Hyung?' he asked.
Chen blinked back the heat in his eyes as he stared at the young man he had grown to love like his own little brother.
"I'm going to bring you to the station for questioning. I'll be there with you all the way ok? I won't let them stress you out."
Luhan nodded clamly.
"Ok."
A sudden thought struck him.
"Chen Hyung? Are...Will they handcuff me?" he asked. "Will it hurt?"
Chen almost cried out at thouse questions.
"I'll make sure they do it gently ok?"
Luhan blinked back his tears and nodded. He turned to Suho.
"Please Suho shi. Don't go home for now. I'm worried for your safety.I'll see you later, Suho shi"
He smiled softly as he picked up his jacket and made to turn to the door when he felt a hand on his shoulder. Then he found himself in a hug.
"Suho shi?"
"I'll get you out." Suho promised as he tightened his arms around the younger boy. " No matter what it takes, I'll get you out. Do you understand me Luhan?"
Luhan nodded as he let out a small sob.
"I'm scared Suho shi." He whisphered.
"Don't be. EXO is behind you and we will never let you come to harm. Just stay strong till we come you get you ok?"
Suho released Luhan and turned his gaze to Chen.
"you'll stay with him right?"
Chen nodded with determination.
"My team is already working on the bail. But I need more details. Mean time we need all the evidence fast!"
Suho took a deep breadth.
"And you will get it by today!"
He gave a small worried smile as Chen escorted Luhan out of his office all the while talking to him soothingly while Luhan kept turning back back to gaze at Suho.Suho kept his eyes on the boy with a reassuring smile till he disappeared from his view. His gaze hardened as he reached for his phone to call the rest.
