Suho groaned inwardly as he finished discussing the business plans with father. Kim Jun had arranged to meet Suho early in the morning for a breakfast meeting. He had instructed Luhan on what to prepare for breakfast. The boy had not even batted an eye at the requests even though the rest of EXO bristled. In fact, it seemed like he welcomed the challenge as he nodded eagerly at breakfast requests.
"Make sure that Markus gets back to us with the quote by today. We should be able to submit the tender by tomorrow." His father reminded Suho while staring out the window at the garden.
A knock interrupted the discussion. They both turned to the door as Luhan came in pushing a trolley. The aroma of scrambled eggs and buttered toasts made Suho's mouth water.
"Breakfast," Luhan smiled.
Kim Jun glared at him.
"You interrupted out meeting."
Luhan nodded in acknowledgement which made the older man gape.
"I did."
He stopped the trolley near the table and started clearing the documents away neatly to the side so that he could place the food. Suho pulled his elbows off the table as Luhan slid the file under them out and placed it on the neat pile.
"Suho shi needs to eat his breakfast now so that he can take his antibiotics on time. I don't want to mess up the schedule."
Luhan nodded as he straightened up, finally satisfied with how the breakfast table looked. He gave small bow to both.
"Suho shi, Sehun will be coming in soon to check on you."
Kim Jun laughed as he approached the table and sat down.
"We should hire you as a butler for Suho! I'll pay you a high salary."
"He's a good puppy too!" a high pitched voice interjected.
Kim Jun smiled at the new comer.
"Candy!"
The girl smiled as she bounded in and sat on Kim Jun's lap. Suho frowned in distaste. She looked like a Kim Jun's grandchild more than his lover. How he wished she shad more respect for her surroundings!
"What do you mean that Luhan's a puppy?"
Candy giggled.
"He is. Yesterday, I saw him sleeping outside Suho's door all curled up! Just like a puppy!"
Luhan stiffened as his eyes met Suho's surprised ones. Even Kim Jun looked surprised.
"Why were you..." Suho asked the younger softly.
Luhan looked down at his feet.
"I was protecting you."
"Wha..."
"No one can get into this room through the window, since there is no way climb up to the second floor. The only way in here is trough the door. So I sleep outside to make sure no one comes in without my knowledge."
The silence was deafening. It was only broken when Candy giggled again.
"See? Just like a puppy!"
Kim Jun smirked as well.
"Suho, You really do know how to put people in their place don't you?"
Luhan flushed red in embarrassment. Suho sat up ready to give Candy a scolding when a low voice interrupted him.
"Did you just compare Luhan to a dog?"
Sehun stood at the doorway with his stethoscope around his neck. His eyes glinted with anger and his expression looked colder than usual. Candy stopped giggling startled by Sehun. She masked her shock with a sweet smile.
