Chapter 21 - We Are Moving

The picture is how I see the new barracks that they are moving into. Along the walls there is more storage and there would be slightly less beds in the room.

Rebecca's POV

Zach and Ethan just got back from their meeting with Dr. Holst and informed me that the entire unit will be moving into new housing accommodations tomorrow and Sunday now that I have officially joined the unit. We also apparently need to come up with a plan as to what we will do when there are visitors on campus. I am surprised that they have visitors occasionally as no one has come in the time that I have been here.

"We need to have a plan in place very soon as we have not had someone come do an inspection in a long time which means they will be coming any day now, I just hope that they do not come while we are trying to move buildings," Zach tells me.

"Maybe it would be a good idea to move things in stages just in case. Maybe start with my stuff and the extra linens because if someone sees your unit building without linens then you can say that it is laundry day and my stuff they are not even looking for. And then go to the extra garments as again you can say it is laundry day. And once all of that is moved then you just get the stuff that it would look weird if you were moving. You could go with a semi-truth and say that because your unit has been doing really well that you all get larger accommodations as a reward," I suggest.

"You know those are not bad plans. What do you think Zach, should we do what she suggested?"

"Ethan, I agree that we should at least start with her stuff. Why don't we get that moved and then we can figure out what should be moved next? But first we need to inform the rest of the unit that we will be moving to a new building."

"Before we go tell the other boys, do we need to go check out the status of the new building?" I ask.

"That might be a good idea in case the first thing that needs to be done is getting the building clean," Zach says.

Zach, Ethan, and Rebecca walk to the new building.

"Do we have a key to get into the building yet?" I ask.

"Yeah they would have rekeyed the building to match the keys for our current building as soon as it was confirmed that we would be moving here. The only problem is that I don't have my keys on me," Zach states.

"Then it is a good thing that I am here as I have my keys. Step aside Zach. You too Rebecca, we don't know how long the building was empty and what is inside, and I don't want you to get hurt if I have to pry the door open."

Ethan gets the door open.

"Well it looks as though no one has been here for a long time yet there is no dirt or dust in here. Is it possible that they cleaned it quickly while we were in the meeting, and deciding a plan of action, so that we could quickly get moved in in case of anything happening?" I ask.

"It is not unheard of, I guess they wanted to be nice as this will be your first experience of living with boys and they want this unit to work. Why don't we check out the rest of the space? We need to see what we have to work with, especially with your room Rebecca. Zach find the bathroom and see if we have two or if we will have to shower in shifts or add a curtain to one showerhead. Rebecca you are looking for a door that leads to a smaller room where you will be staying, it might be hidden or less obvious."

"You know, both of you share power really well. I just ask that if you are making a decision for me, as long as it is not something like what you would do for the other boys, I would like to be in on the decision. You know that is not a bad way to tell if you should be making a decision for me. Is it something you would do for the other boys?"
