every day is christmas when i'm with you

i really can't stay (but baby it's cold outside)

Amanda felt like she was walking on sparkly air, everything felt glittery and Christmas-y and she was so so happy. Her and Ally decorated the apartment, covering every inch in glitter, and red and green. They both made time in their schedules on Sunday to have a dinner date with Niall and Louis separately. Louis took Amanda to a 50's style diner and it was everything she could've dreamed of. 

The date seemed to loosen them both up, it was less awkward and just flowed naturally. Amanda didn't say anything too stupid and Louis had fun telling her jokes and making them both fill the small diner with laughter. They talked about Louis' tattoos and how much they hate avocados and ended up complaining about how their flatmates are always buying them for salads or for spreading it on toast.

"It's disgusting! Liam eats like two a day," Louis whines, making a grossed-out face. Liam will always find a way to make him angry, even if he does love the lad.

"The only place avocados belong are in the trash," Amanda says, making them both laugh and others stare at them. Louis sighs and smiles dreamily.

"I don't think I've ever had so much fun on a date," He says thoughtfully. Amanda smiles and shakes her head.

"Me neither, usually it's just me and Ally eating junk food and watching The Office," Amanda jokes. Louis smiles at her, and eventually, he knows they have to leave before the sun rises in this 24-hour diner, so he drives her home and lets her blast Christmas music through the car.

He quickly gets out and opens her door for her, taking her hand and walking her up to her apartment door. Amanda looks through her entire purse before huffing and banging on the door. Of course, this is the day she forgets her keys.

"Ally's out with Niall, isn't she?" Louis asks, wondering what would happen if Ally wasn't going to be home for a while. Amanda shook her head.

"It's eleven o'clock, there's no way she's still out," Amanda tells him, making Louis chuckle a bit, not exactly believing her. Lo and behold, Ally opens the door drinking a milkshake. "Finally!" Amanda huffs, walking inside. Ally gestures for Louis to come in and he awkwardly steps inside, looking around to see the extravagant decorations in their cozy apartment. Niall came out of one of the rooms and smiled at Louis.

"Hey, Lou," Niall greeted, also holding a milkshake.

"Did you guys even go on your date?" Amanda looked at them and their milkshakes, and Ally was even wearing pajamas, what the hell? Niall shrugged.

"We ate appetizers and then just decided we wanted to watch TV," Niall explained, "And get milkshakes, obviously." Amanda and Louis collectively rolled their eyes at their best friends.

"A match made in heaven," Louis sighed and Niall just smirked with a nod.

"Did you pay for the appetizers?" Amanda asks suspiciously, glaring at Ally harshly. Ally rolled her eyes and scoffed.

"Yeah, Niall made me," She groaned and Niall scoffed.

"She wanted to dash! Does she do that often?" Niall asked, shocked while Ally just laughed at them. Louis looked at her, shook.

"She tries!" Amanda hits Ally on the arm. Louis laughs at the exchange, it reminds him of Liam and himself. Ugh, Liam. Ally glares at her but Amanda just rolls her eyes.

"Also, earlier she wanted to watch a movie on TV that she has on DVD," Niall pointed out, confused. Ally huffed. Amanda nodded.

"Yeah, and pointing that out just confuses and upsets her," She tells him, already knowing this about Ally, of course. C'mon, keep up, Niall.

"Alright, well! Niall and I are going back to my room so, byyyeee," Ally sing-songs as she pulls Niall back into her room to finish watching an entire season of SKAM. Amanda turned to Louis and smiled.
