~thursday, the 27th of december~

At breakfast that morning, Amanda has an urge to take Louis to all the places she loved as a little kid. Once they finish, they head over to Ally's house to tell them that they're leaving. Amanda lets herself in and immediately finds Ally and Niall eating a coffee cake at the dining table and drinking coffee.

"What are you guys doing?" Amanda asks, after realizing they're speaking in another language.

"He's teaching me Gaelic. Dia duit!" Ally says and Amanda sighs.

"Of course he is," Amanda shakes her head, Ally and her languages. Ally smiles wide, taking another bite of coffee cake. Amanda eyes the cake suspiciously before taking a bite. Amanda glares at Niall. "Is there cinnamon in this?"

Ally raises her eyebrows as she swallows another bite. "Oh," She says, but Niall just looks confused.

"Uh yeah, duh," He shrugs. Amanda huffs before hitting Ally.

"I didn't notice!" Ally tries but now that she thinks about it, her throat does feel a bit constricted. Niall looks at them, wildly confused.

"What? What's wrong?" He questions, looking at Ally as if he was studying her.

"She's allergic to cinnamon, and she's also birdbrained," Amanda snaps. Louis and Niall gape at Ally a bit.

"What?" Niall shouts, pushing the coffee cake away, which just makes Ally groan and whine.

"I'll be fiiiinneeee, just in pain. I'm not gonna die though, I don't think," Ally explains and Niall looks even more outraged and worried.

"Ally! How could you not tell me this?" Niall asks, seeming very hurt. Amanda laughs before walking over to pour herself a glass of orange juice from Ally's fridge. "Ally, I don't want to hurt you again," Niall pouted and Ally just rubbed her hand on his shoulder.

"Babe, it's fine, it's just an allergic reaction. I'll be okay," Ally assures him and Niall scoffs loudly.

"What's next? You're gonna get shot and say it's just a flesh wound?" Niall said and Ally frowned.

"You know I hate Monty Python, how dare you?" Ally said, hitting Niall on the shoulder.

"You didn't tell me you were allergic to the cake we're eating," Niall scoffed, annoyed. Amanda and Louis watched them glaring at each other, before Ally brought up her dream about a version of Groundhog Day with Eddie Murphy in it instead of Bill Murray and that magically made them stop arguing. Amanda sighed, rolling her eyes at the two of them, fondly but also a bit annoyed.

"Okay, Lou and I are going out, don't eat anything else you're allergic too while we're gone," Amanda sighed before finishing her orange juice and walking over to hold Louis' hands.

"Alright, we're just gonna stay here," Ally tells them, which doesn't surprise anyone. Amanda and Louis say goodbye and get in Amanda's car. Louis watches her drive, not even really sure where they're going, so he asked and smiled fondly as Amanda went on and on about the shows she used to do at this little corner theatre, mostly for family members and random passerby's. She talked about all her favorite memories but also the drama that came out of working with such dramatic theatre kids and adults. Louis told her about his theatre experience in high school, the one he wasn't expelled from, and how his big role was Danny Zuko in Grease. That's when he first realized how much he loved singing.

"Really? It all started for me just because I had so much energy, my mom had to put me somewhere," Amanda joked, and Louis shrugged.

"That's kinda what happened with me. My teachers realized I was loud and outgoing and thought if I focused it on performing then maybe I wouldn't be such a disruption during class, but that didn't work," Louis and Amanda laughed, both fondly remembering their high school days. It all felt so important when it was happening and now it's all just a memory.
