~wednesday, the 2nd of january~

Amanda woke up to the sun streaming into her bedroom, warming up her chilly room, just subtly. Sighing, she closed her eyes and attempted to go back to sleep. The rhythm of her beautiful boyfriend's breathing lulling her back into a dreamlike state until suddenly she remembered what day it was. The day Louis left for England. Amanda felt nervous to be without him for a week, her stomach clenched up just thinking about it but she was excited for him to see his family. She shuffled around to look up at Louis' sleeping face but the slight movement woke him up. Louis looked down at Amanda with a soft smile.

"Morning, love," Amanda smiled. Louis scoffed, rolling his eyes.

"That's my line," He grumbled, pulling her closer. He sighed heavily, "I don't wanna leave you,"

"It's just a week," Amanda pointed out, "plus you get to be with your family," she smiled and Louis grinned at that.

"I really wish you could come with me," Louis told her.

"Someone's gotta take care of Ally," Amanda shrugged, making Louis laugh. Amanda smiled, thinking about how beautiful he is when he laughs.

All four of them ate breakfast like it was any other day, laughing and joking around. It was comfortable and Amanda thought about how she was going to miss this for the next week. She felt bad that Ally had grown so attached to Niall, and was really going to miss him for a week. She hadn't left his side since they met. However, Amanda figured nothing bad could come from this.

Once they had everything packed up in Amanda's new car, it felt a lot more final. They knew it wasn't final or anything, but it made them all a bit sad. They drove to the airport in silence, not wanting to make any meaningless small talk when they felt so exhausted and a bit upset. Amanda still felt excited because she got to do this for Louis but something in the back of her mind made her want to book a flight right now and never leave his side again. Instead, she focused on the fact that Louis gets to visit his family and that made her feel all warm inside. Plus, Louis looked so hot driving her new car. Amanda stared at him dreamily from the passenger seat while Ally and Niall whispered to each other in the back seat for the whole ride to the airport.

When they said goodbye, everyone put on smiles and said their goodbyes. Louis hugged Amanda tightly and kissed her sweetly, reminding her that it was only a week. Niall and Ally hugged tightly, as if he was going off to war. Amanda pulled Ally off of him once they had to go through TSA.

Amanda and Ally watched them go and then Ally huffed loudly. "Let's get Starbucks," She sighed, sadly. Amanda couldn't help but laugh at her dramatics.

"It's a week, Ally," Amanda pointed out.

"Gives him a week to find someone new," Ally said, and Amanda was a little shocked.

"Ally, that's what you're worried about?" She asked her, confused. Ally shrugged, already walking off to Starbucks, making Amanda follow her. "He hasn't left your side since he met you, why would he want anyone else?"

"Amanda, just drop it," Ally sighed, and Amanda conceded because she didn't want to make Ally upset. So, they got Starbucks and sat there for a moment, not wanting to go right back to their empty apartment.

"I can call Harry, Zayn, and Liam to come over," Amanda suggested. Ally shrugged.

"I don't know, I kinda just wanna go home and sleep..." She told her and Amanda sighed and frowned at her.

"You always want to do that," Amanda says.

"Yeah, well," She shrugs, "You can call them but I'll be in my room," Ally says, finishing her coffee and sighing dramatically. Amanda huffed, this was going to be a long week. Amanda stood up and Ally followed, going out to the car.
