Second Chance

His words

Replay in her mind

As she thinks and drowns

In her own thoughts.

It's another one of

Those sleepless nights

Where she wishes

Her tears would stop.

All what she feared

Came true

When he told her

It's all over.

I'm sorry

He said

As if it will help

Or heal her scars.

The blade

Is suddenly

Her only friend

She cuts and drains her blood.

She cries and screams

Before she lies

On the floor

After they fought.

Suddenly

A while later

She wakes up

To the beeping voice

Of a device.

She remembers

It all

And lets a tear

Stream down her face

Followed by plenty more.

This time

She got

A second chance

And it won't be

For naught.
