I barely knew Vida and therefore, didn't really have an opinion on her but after her little comment on me and Ruby in the corridor I definitely did. Preventing further embarrassment I scurried off down the corridor as fast as I could while trying to avoid the many obstacles in my way including nearly knocking Mr Clarke over and he looked pissed, and he let me know it. He gave me a very long lecture before letting me go where I continued my journey down the corridor before I found my way back to class and took my seat next to where Ruby should have been. She isn't back yet. I thought to myself, feeling a kind of disappointing feeling seep into me. What the hell? Why do I even care?

Ruby eventually waddled into class and was looking as sick as ever and came and sat next to me and then Clancy turned around and obviously tried to be nice to her but she hit back at him and I backed her up and gave her a small nod which I take she appreciated. I couldn't concentrate during the lesson I just was extremely curious, what had he done to her? How did she know the little asshole?

Lunch came around and I grabbed my lunch tray and food and took my usual spot at our table. I looked around for Ruby before asking Chubs where she was. He wouldn't even look up as he spoke to me, I don't know if he was pissed off at me and wanted to make me feel guilty or was just really genuinely intrigued by the latest book he had shoved in his face but he still answered at least, and pointed at the table tucked away in the corner where I could see Ruby's mass of dark hair bobbing up and down as she talked to the other girls at her table.

It was annoying me that Ruby was there and not here, I don't know why but it just did. I have been noticing every single time somebody is rude to her it just makes me want to kill them, I feel like an older brother and I have to protect her. Everybody else at the table must have figured ou I was staring at something because all the girls at Ruby's table - Ruby included were staring at me like I was some kind of perverted stalker.

Today was Tuesday, which meant mom was working, which meant me and Cole had to the the bus home, which meant I had to sit on an overcrowded bus with Cole and his friends throwing around a football,  A lot of annoying loud kids, when all I wanted to do was simply ride a quiet, small bus to my house and go inside and relax. But what do I get? I guess my luck with sports is spreading.
