"Y/n! Wake the hell up!!" You heard your sister Erica shout.

You groaned and stuffed your head into the pillow, blocking the sound of her voice. You grinned thinking that she left your room but boy were you wrong.

*SPLASH*

You gasped when you felt ice cold water being poured over your face. You immediately sat up in your bed with your upper half drenched not to mention, your pillow and sheets.

"What the hell Erica!!?? Why'd you do that!!?"

"Oh, don't be such a baby Y/n, besides, it's your first day of school. Oh and mom said it's time to eat breakfast." She then strutted out of my room.

You rolled your eyes and ran into your bathroom to dry up and get ready. Once you had changed into your uniform, you ran downstairs into the dining room where your mom was washing the dishes.

"Morning~" You said, taking a seat at the table.

"Morning Y/n~"

You glanced at the table only to see that there wasn't any food at all. You remembered your sister saying that breakfast was ready though.

"Mom? Where's the food?" You asked.

She was about to answer until Erica came skipping into the kitchen happily.

"Oh yea! I forgot to tell you I ate the rest of the food. Oh well, I'm heading off. Bye mom! Little sis..." She winked at you then walked off.

Ugh! Why can't she let me live in peace!

"Don't worry honey, uh let me see....Here," She handed you twenty bucks and placed it into your hands.

"Go and grab something to eat at the grocery store before school. It's your first day of school so have fun okay?" She smiled.

"Thanks mom. I guess I'll be heading off now too." You gave her a hug, then began heading out the front door.

Since you were younger than Erica, she got the honor to have the first car. Your parents had told her to give you a drive to school on her way to her college, but of course she never did which is why you always walked to school. Whether it was raining, snowing, or even if there was a storm outside, she still wouldn't drive you.

You reached the grocery store pretty quick since it was about a ten minute walk from your house. As you entered, the smell of cinnamon wafted into your nose. You were basically starving at this point.

You walked into the bakery part of the grocery store and your eyes immediately landed on the delicious looking muffins. Unfortunately, the line was quite long and you just happened to be the last one in line. Once it was your turn, you noticed that there was only one left.

"One cinnamon muffin please" You and someone else said in unison.

You looked to your left to see a guy around your age maybe older, looking back at you with just the same confused look as yours.

He had dark brown hair that was jelled and parted to the side. He wore a long trench coat with a flannel underneath. His long legs were covered by ripped jeans and black dress shoes to top it off. In short, he looked clean and classy.

"Excuse me, but I was here first." You said.

"No, I was clearly here first." He argued back.

"I'm pretty sure your mistaken, cuz there's something called a line, which you obviously weren't in." You crossed your arms.

"Look, I'm not trying to argue with some cranky girl this early in the morning, so if your done talking, let me get my muffin and leave." He said turning back to the cashier.
