Jungkook One Shots

~Falling~

"See you tomorrow!" Your coworker hollered before leaving the store for the day since her shift was over.

"See ya!" You yelled back whilst wiping the filth and muck from the tables. The sound of the bell ringing on top of the door signaled that a customer had entered.

After you had finished wiping up the table, you grabbed the empty glasses and suddenly got a weird feeling that someone was behind you.

"Excuse me? I was wondering if I could talk to the manager?" A deep voice spoke.

You turned around and upon seeing the stranger's face, you lost feeling in your body as the cups that were once firmly grasped in your hands were now rolling around on the ground.

"J-Jungkook?" You stuttered. All the emotions and feelings you had for him all came flooding back at the same time.

You and Jungkook had been in a stable, healthy relationship until one day, it crumbled to pieces. Long story short, he cheated on you and out of anger, you decided to do the same. You had hooked up with one of his friends at a party and you and Jungkook never spoke again.

Was I devastated? Of course I was. I was so head over heels for him back then that I would've done anything for him. But, people change and relationships end. That's life right?

You could feel your chest tightening seeing him for the first time in many months. You and Jungkook had broken up right after you had graduated high school. Now here you two were, face to face again and all you wanted to do was hide and crawl into a hole.

"Y/n...Hey..." He replies awkwardly.

"It's um...It's been a while." You say, trying to make conversation.

"Yea, Yea it has." He replies, as it falls silent between you two.

What do I say!? This is so awkward, I hate this. Someone please help me!

"Jungkook my man!! You're here!" The familiar voice of your boss echoes into the room. You watch as he goes over to Jungkook and gives him a hug along with a firm pat on the back.

Are they friends or something?

He let's go of Jungkook and realizes you standing there watching them. "Oh! Y/n, I'd like you to meet Jungkook, Jungkook this is Y/n." He introduces us.

"We know each other." You point out to him as his brows raise in surprise.

"Oh? You guys friends?" He asks as we both look at each other not knowing how to answer.

"Um..exes actually." Jungkook admits as your gaze floats down to the ground.

"Well..this is awkward but not to worry this restaurant is drama free so I don't wanna see either of you fighting around the customers at any time. Understood?" He asks, as your brows furrow.

"Wait, what do you mean at any time?Jungkook doesn't work here." You reply.

"Y/n, meet your new coworker." He gestures toward Jungkook who forces a smile.

You've got to be kidding me. Us working together? I can't, I'm sorry but I can't.

"What? Him?" You ask, clearly shocked.

"Look, I know you two aren't exactly on good terms right now but this is a very professional work environment. So I need you two to just get along alright?"

You sigh, "Fine."

"Fine by me." Jungkook replies as you glance at him and your eyes meet. Your heart starts to race the longer you look at him so you break eye contact and direct your attention back somewhere else.

*DING*

*Customer walks in*

"Oh hey bitch, how you been?" Your boss yells across the restaurant earning stares from everyone.

That's being professional??

"Anyway, tomorrow you'll be training Jungkook and showing him how things work around here. Today, I'll just show him where everything is," He explains. "Come on Jungkook, I'll show you the break room first."

You watch as they start to walk off but Jungkook stops in his tracks. He turns his head, giving you a perfect view of his breathtaking side profile before he speaks up, "Oh and Y/n?"

"Yea?" You answer, wondering what he has to say as your heart starts beating faster.

"You missed a spot." He grins, pointing at the table before walking off with the boss. Your jaw drops at his audacity.
