You had just found out last week that your mom was remarrying to a rich guy you've never met.
Was I worried? Of course I was, I mean, I've never even seen this guy before. But at the same time, I'm happy for my mom, she'd been raising me all on her own for as long as I could remember.
I've never met my father nor do I even know who he is. If I even ask anything related to my dad, my mom gets all cranky and gives me a whole speech on how guys like him should go to hell and blah blah blah...
So I usually try to avoid anything related to my dad but I have tried looking for any information about my dad in my mom's office but there was nothing. She probably had thrown away anything that reminded her of him.
I don't blame her though, if my future husband left me all alone to take care of our baby, I'd cut him off real quick.
In the end, I'm proud of my mom, without her, I wouldn't be the woman I am today. Yes, I may be one of the clumsiest, irresponsible, most laziest people in the world but I've got some perks too.
For example, I'm really into dance, in fact, I love dancing. It's what I genuinely enjoy doing, apart from binge watching shows on Netflix.
Anyways, my mom also mentioned that we'd be living with her new hubby after the wedding which surprisingly was next week.
I know, their obviously taking things a bit too fast but then again, what would I know? I've never even dated once in my entire 16 years of living.
Most of my belongings were already packed into boxes and luggage's so I wouldn't have much to do on moving day.
"Y/n! Can you come here for a sec!" My mom yelled from the kitchen.
"Ok!" I said, placing my clothes on my bed before walking out to the kitchen.
"What's up?" You asked, plopping down on the empty seat at the dining table.
"Here, try this, I just made chicken teriyaki." She said shoving a spoonful into my mouth.
Oh no..
At first it didn't taste that bad but after a couple seconds, I wanted to spit it out right then on the table if I had to.
I didn't dare swallow it, scared that I'd have a stomach ache for most likely a whole week.
"So? How is it?" She asked with hope filled eyes.
"It's uh...d-delicious..." You said, trying not to spit out the chicken.
My mom has never been a great cook that's for sure. For most of my life I'd have leftovers or I'd go out for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Last time she tried cooking, she burnt the scrambled eggs and not just that, even the spatula itself!
"No it not, don't lie..." She said slumping her shoulders and pouting.
"I-It just needs some spices...I think." I said trying to cheer her up.
"Thanks, but you know what? Maybe we should just order pizza. What do you think?" She said tossing the rest of the "chicken teriyaki" into the garbage.
"I think that's a great idea." You said nodding your head.
After finishing dinner, you decided to head back to your room and call it a night, but of course you had to sneak in a little Netflix before you slept.
