Chapter 29- Surprising Discoveries

Bella P.O.V

It was finally Christmas, another year is basically done, I swear the year just started..

I chuckled quietly to myself as I was finishing wrapping some of Renesmee's gifts late.. I had gotten really distracted lately.. By Edward...

I blushed a bit at the memory....

"Merry Christmas, love", I heard from behind me and strong arms wrapped around my waist tightly.

I smiled bright and stopped what I was doing to turn around to face him.

Edward was dressed in dark blue jeans and a tight black shirt, showing off his muscles. His hair was perfectly messy just the way I liked it.

He gave me his crooked smile as I bit my lip and looked him in the eyes.

"Merry Christmas", I replied finally and leaned in to kiss him.

His lips moved with mine sweetly and in just a second the kiss turned needy and hungrily.

We ended up on the bed with him hovering on top of me. We continued to kiss and soon his lips were trailing down my neck.

As much as I really wanted this to continue I couldn't. "Edward", I spoke, but I guess he took it as a go and continued, he unbuttoned my blouse.

'Ness is in the other room sleeping, we can't do this', I removed my shield for a second so he could hear my thoughts.

He sighed and got off me, to flip on his stomach and hit his face in the pillows.

I laughed quietly and snapped my shield back into place while fixing my shirt.

I turned to face him and kissed his check and whispered in his ear, "Maybe later", and he shot up in half a second.

I laughed aloud and went to bring the gifts to the living room under the large tree.

I heard soft footsteps approaching me as I quickly place the presents under the tree.

I turned around to face my not so little girl anymore, Renesmee looked around 16 / almost 17 now and she was only 5 years old going on 6 in September.

"Merry Christmas Ness", I hugged her tight, she was growing up so fast.

Edward came into the room smiling.

"Merry Christmas mom! Presents?!", she smiled wide showing her perfect teeth.

"Yeah come on", I sat her down around the tree.

We would sit in a circle together and place the presents in front of us and open them at the same time, I used to do that with Renee and Phil every year when I was a kid.

Renesmee had the majority of gifts, while Edward and I had a couple from the family, we saved our own personal gifts to each other later alone, it was more special that way.

"Oh my gosh! Mom! Thank you thank you thank you!", she screamed and hugged me.

She got a new Mac laptop, she's been asking about it for a while now and she can use it for school too.

The next gift she got was from Alice, a few tops and sweaters with leggings for these few winter months.

Edward had gotten her a new iPod to replace her old one he'd given her when she was still young, it had some of her favorite songs followed by her lullabies.
