The 16-year-old bustled around the cottage, trying to keep busy. Cleaning was the only way to take her mind off it. Her father wouldn't approve and he wouldn't happy, but he'd find out either way and she had to tell him as soon as he got back from whatever he was doing. He had been away for almost a year and this was the first time in ages she'd see him again.

She sat on the couch, taking in deep breaths. Her hands instinctively rubbed her stomach and the six month bump that was there. She smiled in happiness, at least she'd have something for herself for once, she may have been young and it may have been an accident, but she treasured them will all of her heart.

This child would know their mother and hopefully their father. She refused to let it stay in touch with its grandfather. She would not have him poison it and that was the reason why he couldn't know. But he had to.

"I'm back," she inhaled a sharp breath and put on a fake smile and a small charm concealing her stomach, greeting her father. "I see you've been cleaning. Good girl."

He patted her head and sat down at the dining table. She tensed at the contact, already growing fearful of his reaction to her pregnancy. She sat down across from him and watched as Nagini slid around the floor and weaved in between her legs. At least the snake eased her nerves slightly.

"Um, My Lord?" She croaked out, clearing her throat. Never show fear. That was one of the things he had taught her.

"My, dear, you can call me father," he looked up at his daughter and noticed her worried expression and how her hands kept fidgeting beside her stomach. "What is it?"

"Um, I-I'm pregnant." She let out a sigh of relief. The bomb had dropped, now she had to wait for his reaction. She took off the charm concealing her six month stomach.

His eyes narrowed and he hastily stood up. Striding over to her, she managed to stand up too.

"And the father?" She couldn't tell him who it really was or he would have him killed instantly. So she thought of her best friend.

"Sirius Black." Voldemort's hard expression got even harder if that was possible.

"At only sixteen years old?" He was enraged at the fact that his daughter was whoring around Hogwarts throwing herself at boys and then having the audacity to get pregnant? At sixteen? "I think a little visit to the House of Black is in order, hm, dear? Especially because you're associating yourself with blood traitors!"

He was being patronising and she knew that he couldn't go there because Sirius wasn't the actual father and wasn't on good terms with his parents either.

"No, father. I can take whatever punishment is in store for him." She bowed her head in defeat and tried to hold in her sniffles as the tears began welling up in her eyes. She hoped he wouldn't take her baby away from him, it was the first thing she had for herself, something he hadn't tainted yet. "I can move out, I can raise it by myself. It wouldn't interrupt you from your...work."

Voldemort's narrowed eyes widened slightly and he grabbed his daughter's arm quite hard. "You will not leave this house while that child is in your stomach. It will be the heir to the Riddle's and a descendant of Salazar Slytherin himself. Your child will be mine."

And with that he left, leaving his daughter in tears. She collapsed onto the bed crying until nothing came out and all that was left were her sobs.

We need to run away. My father knows, I didn't tell him you were the father or he would have hurt you.

Go to the hills near my house at 11pm tonight. He will be out.

We need to keep our baby protected.

---

11pm came and Voldemort's daughter snuck out to the hills that were near her cottage. The hills she liked to sit and think on when her father was away. She wished for a better life. One away from him and now she was going to get it. They had to think of a plan.

She couldn't continue living with her father, he wanted her child for himself. To raise it as a true Slytherin. She didn't want that. She knew the father would be apprehensive about living together as he struggled with a serious problem. But she was skilled at potions and she was determined to help him and to be the happy family she had dreamed of.

They couldn't go to the Potters. Sirius was already with them and she didn't want to burden them with her and a baby on the way. They were kind, yes, but she wouldn't take advantage of them.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps and she looked up to see the father of her baby. The half moon glistened behind him, making him look ethereal. She got goosebumps. This was the boy she loved.

"Remus."
