Mistletoe

John's P.O.V
The entire group was enjoying the Christmas get together at Laf and Hercs house.

I sat beside Peggy as she sipped her hot chocolate. Peggy nudged me and I looked over at her confused. She nodded her head towards Alex and I turn my head to his direction.

To my surprise he was staring right at me. Both of our cheeks became red as he quickly looked away averting his gaze to his feet.

I smiled slightly at the sight and Peggy wiggles her eyebrow at me. The thing was it didn't go unnoticed that Eliza was clearly staring at Alex.

Peggy rolled her eyes at her sister and whispered into my ear "can't she see that he's clearly gay for you."

I laughed loudly and Eliza looked over at us.

"What's so funny?" She asked knowing this was directed at her.

"N-nothing" I lied.

Peggy snickered "sis stop staring at Alex."

Eliza's flushed red as the whole group stifled their laughter well besides Alex who just looked shocked.

"Shut it Pegs" Eliza huffed like a four year old and suddenly Herc burst out laughing.

"Mom amour" Laf scowled Hercules but I could see the corner of his mouth twitching not daring to smile.

"I'm sorry babe" Herc laughed "but come on Eliza."

Eliza pouted which just made Herc laugh more.

Eventually everyone got into a fit of laughter including Eliza.

"It was silly" Eliza giggled "sorry for staring Alex."

Alex opened his mouth to speak but Angelica cut him off.

"Pft he can't be upset or angry about it liz" Angelica teased "he's been staring at John all night."

Alex and I turned red simultaneously.

"H-have not" Alex protested.

"Mon ami don't even try to deny it anymore" Laf chucked snuggled up against his boyfriend Hercules.

Alex hid his face in his hands "I hate you guys" he mumbled.

"Love you to Alex" Peggy reached across and patted him on the back.

After awhile we ran out of snacks.

Alex sighed and stood up "I'll go get some more" then he walked off into the kitchen.

After a few minutes Maria smirked "John why don't you go help Alex with the snacks he's been gone for awhile."

I nodded "sure."

I didn't really understand why the rest of the group looked like they were plotting something excluding Eliza who looked as just as confused as I felt.

I walked over to the doorway of the kitchen just as Alex was walking out.

We bumped into each other and Alex dropped the crisps that he had been holding.

"Oh Sorry Alex" I apologised and reached down to grab the crisps.

When I got them I looked at Alex to see him red in the face and gaping.

"Alex?" I questioned "are you okay."

Alex gulped and pointed up at the top of the doorway.

I raised an eyebrow and looked up. What I saw made the crisps I was holding drop to the floor once again.

There hanging from the doorway was mistletoe.

Alex was a mess he was blushing like crazy and looking down at his feet.

I glanced back at the group to see them all grinning. Eliza's smile held some disappointment in it. Peggy and Herc had their phones out to film and take pictures.

I fixed my eyes on Alex and placed two fingers under his chin gently lifting his face up to meet mine.

"J-John we d-don't have to d-do this you know" Alex told me fiddling with his hands.

I smiled "well Alex I don't make the rules I just follow them."

I pulled him into a passionate kiss which gained cheers from the crowd watching us. I could feel how he went for tense to being melted into my lips. His lips were chapped but sweet at the same time.

I hesitantly pulled away and he stood there in a daze. I giggled at his state and picked up the crisps I dropped.

We walked back over to the group and sat beside each other.

"That was the cutest thing I've ever seen" Maria was the first person to speak.

Peggy put her arm around her girlfriend "and I got it all on video and Herc you got the pictures right."

Herc nodded "one day this could be used as great blackmail."

The group laughed.

After two more hours everyone started heading home. I hugged Peggy before she left with Maria on the motorcycle they shared.

Angelica and Eliza left next. Which left only Alex and I.

My house wasn't far away from Herc and Lafs so I just walked.

"See ya Alex" I waved at him then turned my back on him to go home.

"Wait!" Alex grabbed my hand stopping me.

Even in the dark I could see the clear blush painted on his face

"Ya?" I asked him.

"Well um" Alex took a deep breath before continuing "would you like to go out sometime like you know with me on a date?"

I froze "are you serious?"

Alex took a step back and let go of my hand "Sorry ya it was a stupid idea."

"What no" I shook my head "I'd love to."

Alex beamed "Really?"

"Yes really" I smiled pulling himself closer.

Then we shared our second kiss of the night.
