The New Kid

Alex's P.O.V
I stepped of the bus looking at the gigantic college in front of me. I'm so gonna get lost in this place.

"Alexander Hamilton"

I felt a tap on my shoulder I jumped a little then turned around seeing a girl in a fit of giggles. She was wearing a yellow tank top and ripped jeans. When she finally stopped laughing she said

"I'm Peggy Schuyler I'll be showing you around the school and before you asked I skipped a couple of grades that's why I'm younger than most people here"

"Ok" is all I could say.

"So Alex where did you come from"

"Hmph"

"Where you family from?"

"Unimportant there a million things I haven't done"

"Okayyyyy sooo do you like music"

" Love it"

"What kind"

"You may think this is weird but I'm really into the musical Miranda its about..." I was cut of by Peggy screaming

"A bastard orphan son a whore and a Scotsman dropped in the middle of a forgotten spot in the Caribbean by providence,impoverished in squalor who grow up to be a hero and a scholar"

"You know the musical" I questioned

"Know it, it's my life"

I laughed at her response and we just kept fangirling about Miranda while Peggy showed me around. Man this place was beautiful.

"So who's your favourite character?" I asked

"Oh um.. well it's gotta be..."

"PEGGLES!!!!!"

She sighed and gave a small wave to the man coming towards her. He had dark skin and was wearing a button up shirt,jeans and a grey beanie.

"Hey herc" she said smiling "Alex this is Hercules,herc this Alexander"

"Hey man"

"Hi" I mumble

"You shy"

"Kinda" this was not true once you got me going I was anything but shy

"Well you were have a great chat with peg leg here"

"He came right out of his shell once we started taking about Miranda" said Peggy still beaming

" GASP Miranda is life I feel like we're going to be friends" shouted Hercules

I laughed. To be honest my whole life has been filled with nothing but hell so knowing I have some friends here is reassuring.

All three of us continued to talk and walk for a while until Hercules has to leave to meet his roommate Lafayette I think his name was. Is he French? It'd be great to practice my French on someone. Oh ya I speak French.

"Well I better get back to my roommate Maria as well see ya around" she took one step away from me and turned back around again "sorry I just realised I have to give you these" she handed me a key and sheets of paper " this is your schedule and room key.

"Thanks"

" no problem now bye again" she smiled and walked away from me.

I watched as she strolled away until she was out of sight. I looked down at my key room 1776 well that a long walk I sighed as I made my way to the dorm.

*Time skip brought to you by that one friend that nobody likes*

I stood outside my dorm bracing myself. Peggy said I would have a roommate so their most likely in the dorm now. I finally mustered enough courage to go inside. And boy was I glad I did i was greeted by a beautiful man with headphone on sitting on a bed his curly hair seemed so perfect I wanted to rub my hands through it his freckles covered his entire face and his eyes I could get lost in for days and I didn't even realise I was staring at him until I heard a voice snap me back to reality.

"Um.. hi" he said taking off his headphones and greeting off the bed " you must be my new roommate Alexander right?"

"Ya but you can just call me Alex"

"Okay um.. well just make yourself at home.

" Thanks but what your name?" I asked

"John Laurens"

" Oh ok"

I waked over to the spare bed and unpacked my few belongs in the dresser beside it.

"Hey" I heard John's voice from behind me I turned around to see him a hint of red on his face "um.. Im going to go hang out with my friends want to come?"

"Id love to" I answer
