Freezing time

Alexander Hamilton.

The wiz at writing. Everyone always wondered how he managed to get his essays done in such a short amount of time. People envied his talent and skill. What they didn't know was that Alexander had a secret. He wasn't writing like he was running out of time because he had all the time in the world.

You see Alexander could freeze time. He had first figured this out when he turned 13 and was in the middle of an exam. Alexander started to stress out over it and was on the verge of having a panic attack when the whole world around him just froze. He was very confused and scared at the start of it but he soon looked at the bright side of things. He walked up to the teachers desk and stole the answer sheet filled in all the correct answered then sat back down. He thought really hard about unfreezing time and it just happened. Sure he did feel bad about cheating on the test but it was better then failing.

Over the years Alexander had learned to control his powers so he could freeze and unfreeze time on command. Of course he never told anyone about this because who would believe such a crazy story.

One fateful day Alexander sat at his desk writing an essay about the founding fathers almost collapsing with exhaustion. Alexander decided he needed a well deserved break but he could afford to loose time. So he bended the time to his will and froze the world. Alex let out a long sigh enjoying the peacefulness until he heard a loud shriek coming from outside.

His eyes widened as he ran over to window and looked out to see an attractive man with curly hair pulled into a ponytail freaking out. He was staring at everyone and waving his hands infront of their faces. The poor boy was so scared and confused he hated when this happened.

Alexander stared in fascination at the boy when he looked up to see Alexander his face broke out into a wide smile.

"Oh thank god I'm not the only one" he shouted up to Alexander "do you know what the fuck is going on here?"

Alexander smirked as he retreated from the window and walked down the stairs. He opened the door and chuckled slightly at the boy in front of him.

"What's your name?" Alexander asked.

"Oh I'm John, John Lauren's" he grinned trying to keep his focus on Alexander but still glancing at the frozen world around them.

"I'm Alexander Hamilton" Alexander put his hand on Johns shoulder "and you must be very confused."

John nodded slowly "ya I am."

"Well I can freeze time" Alexander said simply.

John snorted "are you high?"

"No."

"Well are you joking with me" John crossed his arms.

"No I'm telling the truth I promise" Alexander promised.

John rolled his eyes "prove it."

"I will" Alexander smirked as he unfroze time around him.

John looked around shocked then turned back to Alexander "you can't prove you did that."

"Can't I" Alex continued to freeze time and unfreeze time very quickly.

John gazed around him in amazement his jaw dropping "Alright, alright I believe you just stop."

Alexander stopped and time stayed frozen.

"Why am I the only one the isn't affected by you?" John questioned.

Alexander shrugged as he took his hand off John's shoulder "I don't know we must be connected in some way."

"Connected?" John raised an eyebrow.

"Yep" Alexander shoved his hands into his pockets "our souls are connected."

John found himself blushing as the word soulmate rang in his head. He quickly shut that idea out John didn't believe in that sort of thing.

"So what now?" John crossed his arms.

"I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other a lot" Alexander answered.

John laughed "what do you mean by that."

"Well seeming that our souls are bound we are bound to keep bumping into each other" Alexander explained.

"Bullshit Alex" John retorted.

"Alex?"

"I'll call you what I want."

Despite John not believing in the universe forcing these two men together they always seemed to find each other wherever they went. For example Alex's school was burned down and he had to move to John's school and was in every class he was in. They were partnered together in almost every project. The two knowing this made friends with one another knowing it was pointless to try to avoid each other. They began to enjoy one another's company. The two got in trouble often for being the pranksters and troublemakers of the school. I mean playing pranks wasn't hard when Alexander could freeze time.

When Alexander got a girlfriend (Eliza Schuyler) John felt a deep pain in his stomach. He was a mixture of sad and angry whenever he was around them. When he confronted Hercules and Lafayette about the problem they told him that he was quote on quote 'dude that's gay I love it' - Herc 'Mon ami your gay for Alex' -Laf. John began to accept his feelings for Alexander after awhile and was upset for Alexander when Eliza broke up with him but the smallest part of him was happy Alexander was now single.

Little did John know that Alexander began to feel the same. Alexander would do literally anything for John. There was a slight sinking feeling that John was only using Alexander for his power.

Fast forward to present time Alexander and John were sat under a tree the world frozen around them.

"John" Alex said looking at the glorious  landscape in front of him.

"Ya" John answered Turing his head towards Alexander.

"The universe brought us together for a reason" Alexander smiled.

"That's what you keep telling me" John joked.

Alexander laughed along "anyway the reason could be anything but I think I have an idea on what it is."

John frowned "what do you mean by that?"

"John I've known nothing but pain my entire life" Alex began "my father left, my mother died, my cousin committed suicide and my home town was destroyed by a hurricane. I had to write my way out of everything, I wrote my way to  the top. Freezing time was an unfair advantage though anyway I thought maybe Eliza could fill the hole in my heart and I thought it was working but turns out she wasn't the one who was filling it."

John titled his head like a confused puppy.

"It's you John."

John gasped slightly "Lexi?"

"So if you accept me" Alexander finally turned to John "would you like to go out some time."

John looked at Alexander's grinning face that held a nervous look on it that he was clearly trying to hide.

John pecked Alexander's lips very quickly "I'd love too."

Alexander grin became wider and more confident then he pulled John into a deeper and longer kiss.
