The storm

John's P.O.V
"MON AMI" screeched Laf as he and Herc burst into me and Lafayette's dorm.

"What do you want" I said putting down the book I was reading.

"Herc and I are having a date night"

"Okay..."

"Here... so get the fuck out"

"Ugh why do you have to have it here"

"Don't complain Laurens" piped in Herc "you can go to me and Alex's dorm, I bet you want to see Alex.

My cheeks turned pink at Hercs comment. So maybe I did have a little huge crush on Alex but he doesn't like me back.

"Fine" I mumble I collected my things and left the two lovebirds alone. I had just closed the door when Herc poked his head out.

"Oh and uh... I'm staying the night here so you'll stay at my dorm all right"

Before I could answer Herc has shut the door in my face. I sighed and made my way to Alex's dorm. Once I reached dorm 1776 I knocked very lightly on the door. I hear footsteps coming from the other side of the door. The door slowly opened and when it did I saw the most beautiful person on this planet.

"John?" Said Alex but it sounded more like a question.

"Hi Alex um... Herc is at my dorm with Laf so he said I could stay here"

"Oh Well then come on in"

I giggled at Alex and stepped into the room. I set my stuff down on Hercs bed.

"So" Alex said "do you want to watch something" he said pointing towards the tv.

"That depends Lex do you have musicals?"

"We do have musicals"

"Then yes let's watch some musical"

"Okay so what one do you want to watch"

"Do you have Be More Chill?"

"Of course we have Be More Chill"

"Great lets watch that then"

Alex put on Be More Chill and we both couldn't help but sing along to all the songs that was until... halfway through the musical thunder roared from outside and I heard Alex whimper.

"Lexi are you okay"

"Um ya"

I shrugged it off until I heard lightning strike and Alex choked on a sob. I looked over at him to see him holding back sobs.

"Lexi are you sure your ok"

He turned his head and looked at me.

"Ya I'm fine but I'm just gonna go to bed"

"Okay lex I'll go to then"

I turned off the tv and made my way over to Hercs bed. I climbed in it and closed my eyes. The storm was still going on outside but I didn't mind much. Then.. I heard quiet sobs coming from Alex's bed. I sighed and walked over to him. I sat down on the bed. The sight broke my heart. He was curled up in a ball tears flowing down his face rapidly.

"Alex" I whispered

He didn't seem to hear me

"Alex" I said a little bit louder.

He still couldn't hear me.

"ALEX" I screamed.

Nothing.

Alex's P.O.V
"HELP" I screamed. No one would help me though they only wanted to keep themselves alive.

"ALEX" I heard a familiar voice scream I turn around to see my brother James struggling to keep above the water.

"JAMES" I screamed back. I started to make towards him but with every passing second he was going More and more under. I was so close to him. I reached out my hand. It was to late. He was gone. I had no more family left. I have no one. I screamed as loud as a could until I felt someone shake me and I turned around to see John?

"Wake up Alex please" he said tears in his eyes.

John's P.O.V
Alex screamed in his sleep and that's when I went from scared to terrified. Tears filled my eyes as I started to shake Alexander.

"Wake up Alex please" I whimpered

And with that he sprang up looked me deep in the eye then wrapped his arm around me. I hugged back and calmed him down the best I could.

"Alex why are you afraid of storms?" I asked. Alex sighed and looked up at me.

"When I was 17 a hurricane destroyed my town I didn't drown I couldn't seem do die"

"Alex I had no idea I'm sorry"

"It's okay it's not you fault"

I put my hand on Alex's cheek and wiped his tear as I did so his cheeks tinted pink. It was pretty adorable.

"Alex are you okay to go back to sleep"

He nodded. I got off the bed but before I could take a step toward Herc's bed I felt a hand grab mine. I looked down at he was blushing with his head looking at our hands.

"A-Alex" I stammered.

"Can you stay in my bed just for tonight"

"I um... sure of course I will"

He smiled and I slowly climbed into the bed. When I did Alex immediately wrapped his arms around me. I did the same as he nuzzled his head into my chest. He is so damn cute. I felt myself blush I was in the same bed as my crush I mean wow... I've only dreamed about this. After awhile I heard lexis soft snores. "What the heck I gotta do to be with you" I whispered as I slowly drifted off to sleep.
