Chapter 36: Broken Sonnet

Emma wanted to shout at them but she only contain it to herself knowing full well that if she will take another drastic act it will only backfire at her. But she no longer can contain the anger, frustration, jealousy, hate and most of all sadness that she is feeling right now.
With all these emotions, she left the vicinity of the Royce household. Her determination on securing Tin for herself burns even more after seeing the two of them.
A more drastic yet discreet method, that is what she needs right now.
She's not giving up yet.
Not after all that has happened.

Can's POV
Time really went by fast!
In three weeks the annual freshman night will be happening. I haven't pick anything to wear for the event yet.
I ask Tin to accompany me. Looking for a tailor for my suit we went out to have my measurement taken. Our theme this year is black party. It didn't take too much time to have it all done. I can't help but feel excited about the event.
"Let's go somewhere to have some quality time?" Tin ask me.
I just nod
He then put his arms on my back and walk together. He seems very happy with the way things are going between us. It's mutual that's for sure.

All those days went in like a swoop.

"Too bad I can't come with you. Take care and just ring me so I can pick you up alright?" Tin said before drop me for the party.
"I will and take care daddy!" I responded then give him a quick peck.
The venue is already lively bustling with music although it's almost an hour before the party to actually start. I immediately spotted Renz.
Wow! I said to myself he really took this party seriously.

"Hey!" I said to him while tapping his shoulder.
"Hello Can!" He said smiling at me.
We head inside the venue.
The place is really nice! It is dim inside.
Not too long the party officially starts after some opening speech.
Liquor pour out like tomorrow isn't gonna come.
Renz and I went to grab some bite first. Then we indulge ourselves with a glass of cocktail and started hitting the dance floor.
"Renz, I'll just go to the toilet." I told him and he just nod and continue dancing.
It was quick. I head out to go where I left Renz just few minutes ago.
"Uhm Can! Is it ok if we take some photo?" I knew him his the guy from the other class with his friends.
"Sure!" I complied.

We snap then I went on to Renz.
The two of us kept drinking and dancing.
"Can I think I had enough!" Renz said obviously he is now wasted the two of us actually.
"We should go now." I said to him.
He agreed and I saw him fish his phone probably asking Vince to pick him up likewise as I did messaging Tin. I was about to put my glass down when someone pull me and drag me on the center of the hall.
Too bad I am now in the middle of a drinking game.
"Great!" I said to myself in sarcasm.
The game went smooth but I had too much alcohol. I look for Renz but I cannot find him. I started to feel dizzy.
Before my consciousness left me I remember someone carry me.
"Tin." I just close my eyes and it all went black.

Tin's POV
It's almost an hour now since Can sent me his message asking me to pick him up but now even a shadow of him is here. The party is already over but where is he?
Panic started building on me.
I kept looking for him.
I saw one his classmate and ask him if she saw Can.
"Yeah! I saw Can heading out earlier before the party ends." She said and pointed me towards the direction she saw him.
I thank her and went back on looking for Can.
To my surprise it was a room meant for the guest performer of the event. Why will Can go here. I ask myself.
I continue taking my steps until I am at the door.
I stop upon seeing the most hurtful sight I can behold.
It was Can and another guy both lying on the sofa and it seems naked although a small blanket covers the intimate parts of their bodies. His chest is filled with kiss marks that is very visible on where I am standing.
Tears soon started rolling down my cheeks.
I can't comprehend what was happening.
I got lost for words.
How can he do this to me?
My heart is broken down into bits.
