Chapter 73: Royal Rescue

The buzz of the car rushing, echoed, breaking the silence in the stillness of the dark cold night. Ken is covered in a blood bath, his breaths are becoming laboured.
Next to him is Tom, just as Ken he is soaked in blood. His hands are shaking and tears are running non stop on his eyes.
"Hold on there! Just a little more please don't give up." Tom pleaded as he hold tight unto his cold hands. Still crying like it is going to be the end of worlds.

Then he began to close his eyes shut.
"No, no, nooooo!" Please stay with me." He said as he lightly tap him to bring back his consciousness. With his eyes tightly shut Tom grieved. His body is now uniting with the chill that the night giving. Then their is nothing but cries that can be heard and the thunder roar followed by the heavy drizzle that drops from the sky as if the heavens are also crying.

Flashback when Ken reach the top floor of the lighthouse.

Tom is startled.
He saw Can at the doorstep standing next to Ken who is now hugging him tight. They've been found and he knows that it is not good.
With both Can and Ken ignorant that Tom is awake Ken hug Can to comfort him because of the fate that he has to endure in the hands of Tom.
Although Can is never assaulted in any form which is he has to be at least thankful for, he has been shut away from the people he loved the most. His parent, Charles and Tin his one true love.

Then the two of them came back to their senses. No time to waste they must leave now.
"We have to go." Ken said as he pull Can and head for the stairs. With determination on his face Can face the door and began to march to his freedom.
But just as Can is about to take his first step on the stairs Tom grabbed him. His eyes are raging with disappointment.
"Where do you think you are going Can." His baritone voice boomed in the walled tower.

"Tom!" Can is in shock. He tries to shove his grip but Tom is much more powerful than him. He continue to struggle.
Ken looked at Tom.
"Let him go this instant! You have no right to keep him imprison like a pet on your household!" Ken shout at cousin. But Tom showed no sign of giving up on Can.
Ken is pulling Can away but Tom has the strength way better than two of them combined.
Ken assaulted Tom in an attempt to stall him and give time for Can to make a run.

"You are a heartless jerk!" Ken said as throw punch and kick towards his cousin. But Tom has managed to evade all of them and grab his cousin by the neck.
"I need to teach you some lesson about minding your own business Ken." Tom said as he held on his neck tighter. Ken did all he can to make Tom release him but his grip is just too tight for him plus he is now starting to be oxygen deprived.
Tom will not kill him by strangling he just want to incapacitate his cousin.

Can see how Ken is struggling.
So he did what he think is right. He grab Tom's arms and tries to break it away from the neck of now gagging Ken.
"Caaan doonn'tt!" Ken said as he motion him to just run away. But Can continued, pestered Tom uses his broad body to shove Can away.
The shoving impact made Can take full backward steps. All of a sudden Ken's eyes widen.

"Aaaaahhhhhh!" Can shouted before he started rolling down the spiral staircase of the lighthouse then a loud thud follows as his body fell on the bottom step of the stair.
Tom quickly released his cousin from his grip and run down the stairs. Ken on the other hand did the same even if he is running out of breaths.

"Caaaaaaann!" Tom shout from the stair as he approach Can's body that now lies in the cold floor. Upon reaching him he held Can. But he felt something warm.
"Blood." Ken said when he reached the two of them with Can's half body lies on the floor and his cousin Tom kneeling next to him holding his beaten head.
"Is someone out there? Get the car quick! We need to bring him to the hospital!" Ken shouted. One of his guard heard his command and went ahead to get the car ready.
"Can! I'm sorry! Don't worry we are bring you to the hospital.
Soon some of the guards came and assisted to bring Can in the car.

End of flashback.

When they arrive at the hospital the staff quickly place Can in a stretcher. Doctors examined him.
"Prepare for blood transfusion! He is losing too much blood." The doctor on duty told his nurses and the others tend to clean and stop the bleeding.

Ken faced Tom and gave him hard slap.
"This will not happen if you did not kidnap him! I swear Tom if something happens to him I will forget that you and I are related!" Ken said his words are hurtful and full of hate. Tom on the other hand kept of crying. Seeing how Can is now in a life and death situation as the medical staffs tried to stabilise his body.
