Chapter 38: Cold Truth

After that last encounter between the two of them. Can walk away with his heart shattered into pieces. His mind is clouded with pain and frustration, he is not expecting those words from Tin.
Wandering and lost on his own thoughts, the tears never ceases from falling down his cheeks.
"Look at you now?" Emma said her smile is evident.
But Can never paid any attention to her.
"Hey! I'm talking to you." She said again.
"What do you want?!" Can said shouted at her. She was taken aback but regain her composure in no time.

The sky is dark, rain is brewing.
Finally the tears stopped.
Every word Tin utter now have sinked in on Can's mind. He just gave a bitter smile to himself. In his mind there's nothing left to do but to go home and comfort himself. When he arrive at home Charles is already waiting on the outside area sitting in the gutter.
His face has a worried look.

Spotting his younger brother, he went to him and embrace him on a tight hug.
It is what Can needs and then the tears began to fall again.
"Charles." He said while sobbing on his brother.
"It's alright, trust me everything will be okay." Charles said while brushing on Can's hair to comfort him.
He keeps on doing it until Can stop crying.
"I will make sure no one hurt you again like this. I promise." Charles in firm determination.

It's been months, three months to be exact since that fateful day of encounter. Everything seems so normal except that Can and Tin never interact with each other, no they don't know each other now.

Can's POV
I can't wait to have this school year end.
With all that happened in the past I learned that people will not give a damn for your reason. They will hang on with what they believe without checking on facts.
This I knew the hard way.
"Can! Still waiting for Tin to come back to you?" It is Emma again I'm so tired of dealing with her.
"No, you can have him all you want I no longer care." I said to her.
"Good because he's not coming back with a slut." She said smirking.
"Okay! For all I know he doesn't give a damn about your existence. Try harder." I hit her back before walking away.

Waiting for Renz I saw Tin with his usual gang minus Charles. Their relationship became strained after our break up. When his eyes landed on me you can see the hate and coldness in him. I never look away why should I anyway. As far as I know my innocence is intact, therefore I have nothing to be ashamed of.

Days are usually like this.
Emma bugging me.
Tin judging me.
Everyone insulting me.
I am currently enjoying my food when Emma pops like a poison mushroom.
"Here!" She said while handing me a white envelope.
I just stare at her.
"You're such a douche. This is my invitation for you on my wedding, with Tin!" She said smirking.
Then she drop it on my face before leaving.
Honestly, I can't believe what I just heard. Never imagine Tin will marry that witch.
With that I made my decision.

Tin's POV
Days have passed since the last time I saw Can and semestral break has began.
"You will marry Emma." Dad said when I arrive at our house.

"Do what you want I don't care at all." I just shrugged and head to my room.
I could care less now whom they wanted me to marry. My heart is still breaking seeing how Can seems so unaffected how our relationship went.

The next day I decided to meet with Martin and the gang.

I wonder how Charles is doing nowadays. He cut me off since that day he found out how I made Can cry his heart out.
"What?!! You are marrying her?" Nathan said cannot comprehend what I just told them.
"Are you sure about this? Don't make hasty decision." Martin said in disbelief.
"By doing so means you are abandoning Can for good." Coby said without hesitation.
After they all left I opted to stay for a while to think.
Then I heard an irritating voice it belongs to Emma and she is not alone. It was her! The girl whom I asked that night.
I felt something fishy about these two.

Emma's POV
Finally it's happening! The painstaking wait is over. Tin and I are finally going to be married.
"You are so lucky our plan to set up Can that night work well." She said proudly.
"Yes! That Can is now a thorn remove." I told her.
I will have to ask my parent to speed up the wedding preparations. The thought of our wedding made me smile like crazy.
"So you plan all of that huh?" The voice rings to my ear. Sweats are forming now on my forehead.
Tense, I turn to look at Tin.
"Hi Tin! What are you doing here?" I said trying to act normal.
"I never thought that you are capable of doing this." He said before leaving us.
