Chapter 7 - Jun

"Yeah." Taehyung replied. "Why? You like him too?"
"A lot."

It's been awhile eversince I listened to him..

"What's your favorite song?"
"Nothing like us." He grinned. "You sir?"

"Those are damn old songs. " Taehyung said and the younger pouted. "But yeah, I like it too."

They arrived at the grocery store, the same one they went to earlier this morning.

"Go grab some kimchi, some ramen uh.." Taehyung told as he stood by the counter.

"Hey, it's you again." The cashier guy said to him with him a smile.
"Oh.. yeah." Taehyung bluntly replied, not seeming interested to be having a conversation.

"I'm Jay by the way. Hey, what's your relation with that guy?" He emphasized the word that.

Jungkook overheard the guy talking about him in a disgusted manner as he reached for the top shelf.

It's okay. He smiled to himself. You're used to this, Jungkook. You can do it.

"Look at that poor fella, struggling so much." Jay chuckled. "Isn't he weird?"

What the fuck. Taehyung thought. Didn't he see me ordering him to grab me some food? Of course not, he's blind.

Jungkook saw the older smirk and somehow the sight breaks his heart. He knows that clearly, Taehyung doesn't give a crap about him, but deep down he still hoped that Taehyung would stand up for him.

"He's so sad. I wanna throw coins at him just so he could live a better life than-"

"Enough." Taehyung grabbed him by the collar.

Thank god the store wasn't crowded at the time or somebody would've already called the cops.

"What did you say about him?" He tightened his grip, Jungkook looking at him with big eyes, immediately running towards them.

"I-i-"
"Say it."

"Sir, sir.."Jungkook held onto the older's arm. "Let go."

Taehyung moved his hand up Jay's neck, making him gasp for air.

"I-i said I'd throw coins at him." He coughed out the words, tears forming in the corners of his eyes.

Jungkook lowered his head. His hands dropped and he stayed looking down at his feet. He felt crushed. Why was the world so cruel to him? Jungkook sadly chuckled before wiping the tears off his cheeks.

Taehyung thought he looked so fragile. The sight of the younger crying triggered something in him, he didn't know what but it made his blood boil. He harshly threw the man onto the ground.

"Apologize. Now."

"I'm sorry." Jay's bottom lip trembled. "I'm so sorry."

"Heard that?" He asked and the younger nodded. "Good. Now let's go." He grabbed him by the arm and walked towards the exit.

"But, sir-"

"Forget the food. We're having dinner at a fancy restaurant." He dragged the younger out the store and into his car.

It's been a minute of driving and Jungkook was first to break the silence.

"Sir."

"Hm?"

"Thanks.. for that."

"Yeah."

Jungkook smiled.

"Are you still crying?"
"N-no.. *sniffs*.. What makes you think I am.."

Taehyung sighed and stopped the car.

"H-hm?"
Taehyung pressed the sleeves of his dress shirt onto the younger's eyes. "I ran out of tissues."

Jungkook blushed.

"Don't cry. He's not worth your tears."

The younger cried even more.

"Why are you-"
"You stood up for m-me.."

"Yeah, I did. What were you thinking?"

"You don't look like someone who's willing to stand up for an employee." He pouted.

"Yeah.. Well don't think this changes anything." Taehyung hit onto gas. "That guy's just crossing the line, that's all."

"Yeah.." Jungkook smiled. "Right.."

They arrived at a cafe.

Fancy high class restaurant. Jungkook smirked.

"What?"
"Nothing, sir."

Wow.. Jungkook looked out the window.

"Why aren't you looking at your menu?"
"Hm?"

"What do you want for dinner?"
"Oh I.. thought I wasn't supposed to.."

Taehyung put his menu down. "You think I'm going to let my own servants starve."

"N-no.." Jungkook quickly shook his head.

"......"

"What."
"Can I.." He fiddled with his fingers. "Order 2?"

"Yeah."

He didn't even ask why..

"Excuse me, gentlemen, may I have your order?"

"I'll have japchae and some wine. You, Jun?"

"It's.. Jungkook."
