Chapter 14 - MEEP

"Thanks for the meal." Jungkook shyly said as the older nodded. They were going up the escalator when a bookstore caught the younger's attention.

"Wow.." Jungkook grinned as he stared through the glass where there sits hundreds of bookshelves.

Taehyung turned to look at the younger who had his mouth agape."Wanna go in?"

"Oh?" He quickly shook his head. "No.."

"Why?"

"I used to come here often when I was younger." He bit onto his bottom lip. "Stayed here all day reading but didn't have the money to pay for it and.. now the owner hates me."

"You used to read books here?"
Jungkook nodded.

"I read iron man."

Taehyung chuckled and the younger lowered his head.

"What? Iron man's cool." He said but the younger didn't budge. "Jeon."

"I'll wait outside, sir." He shyly grinned.

Taehyung grabbed onto his arm and pulled him back into the store, by force.

"S-sir."
"No one's going to get you kicked out. I bet the owner no longer recognizes you anyway."

Jungkook's eyes widened when he found a set of comic books he used to read when he was 15, the ones he failed to finish reading.

"I can't believe they still have this here." He grinned.
"Have what?"

"Ah!" Jungkook quickly hid the book behind him, hastily shaking his head.

"I can still see it you know."
"Oh.." He pouted, Taehyung looking at him with a worry.

"My mom.." Jungkook smiled at the thought. "She bought me these for my birthday." He handed him the book. "She told me I'd be having the complete set in 2 years after it comes out but.. It never happened." He put the books away and gave a sad smile. "What books do you read, sir?"

Taehyung eyed at the book and smiled to himself. Mother bought me these too.

"Can you wait here for a sec? I have to phone call to make.. outside."
"Sure."

He went outside and dialed his bodyguard. "Hey, I need you to buy me these set of books."

"Hi, sir!"
"Ah." Taehyung jumped. "What are you doing here-"

"I saw you hung up and I tried calling but you didn't hear me so I came. Are we ready to leave?"

Taehyung nodded.

"Also.. don't ever pop up like that again."
"Sorry.." He lowered his head.

Taehyung noticed his cute little habits. The way he lowers his head or tries to look away when he thought he had made a mistake, it looked cute to him.

"Come on." He flicked onto the younger's forehead.

They took the elevator and stood there in silence.

"Hey."
"YES." Jungkook looked at him with big eyes.

"Are you.. okay?"

The door opened and more people came in. Jungkook thought it was his chance to escape but Taehyung had already pulled him closer by the arm.

Oh no.

"Excuse me.." A woman said. "You seem to have a bit more space left on your side. Would you mind if you-"

Taehyung lazily nodded and Jungkook shook his head. Suddenly, he felt a hand snaking around his waist and his eyes turned so big, the lady in front of him felt concerned.

MEEP. MEEP.

"Closer." Taehyung pulled him closer by the waist when another person came in and Jungkook was close to crying.

WHY ARE 3 FLOORS TAKING SO LONG.

Another ding was heard and the lady next to Jungkook accidentally stepped on his foot while walking towards the exit.

"Ouch-" He yelped and Taehyung chuckled as he unconsciously squeezed onto the younger waist, pulling him closer. "You okay?"

NO I'M NOT OKAY.

Another ding was heard and finally they have reached the 6th floor. Jungkook was quick to run outside, almost bumping into everyone ahead of him.

Wow. Taehyung thought.

"Sir.."

"You wanna get fired?"
"H-huh?" Jungkook looked away. "No."

"Then perhaps wait for me before coming out of the elevator next time, understand?"

NO I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY DO YOU HAVE TO BE SO INTIMIDATING.
