Chapter 24 - Agreed

"What is it?" Taehyung said as he walked into the kitchen.

"I think I just s-saw a c-cockroach.." Jungkook covered his eyes.
"Did you seriously just yelled over a cockroach?"

"H-how can someone not?" Jungkook looked at the floor. "S-sir! SIR IT'S RIGHT THERE." He screamed as he climbed onto the kitchen counter.

"Jungkook, calm down."
"Sir, please.. PLEASE KILL IT."

"You're telling me to kill a cockroach for you."

"Please?" Jungkook pouted.

Shit. Taehyung sighed. He took the cockroach off the ground by grabbing its antennas and brought it closer to the younger's face.

"Hi."
"N-no! Get it away from me!" He buried his face into the palm of his hands.

Taehyung smirked.

"Scared?"
"YES. Please throw it away.."

"Fine. If.."
"If what?"

"If only you'd do any 3 things I told you to do, no matter how hard or embarrassing it is."

"W-what kinda thing?"

"I don't know yet, but we'll see. Deal?"

"You're a devil." He mumbled.

"Hm?" Taehyung brought the cockroach closer to his face. "I heard you, Jeon."
"I-i'm sorry okay, deal!"

Taehyung threw the cockroach out of the window and went back to the living room.

WHOA IT FLEW.

He sat by the couch again, noticing a smirk on his grandpa's face.

"Yes?"
"I'm keeping an eye on you."

"What?" Taehyung blushed.

Jungkook came out of the kitchen with hot bowls of ramen. "I'm here." They sat by the dining table. "What did you guys talked about?"

Taehyung coughed and his grandpa looked at him with a grin. "Nothing, son."

"Okay.."

They finished eating and Taehyung realized how happy the two were with each other the entire time, must've been so happy living together as a family. Jungkook wiped the soup off his grandpa's face and looked at him with sparkling eyes.

Hm..

12:03am.

Taehyung couldn't stop thinking about the words they have exchanged.

I think I know what to do now..

2 Days Later, Taehyung decided to let Jungkook visit his grandpa again. Yeah.. totally not because he wanted to talk about the offer.. yeah.

Jungkook was in the kitchen cooking them lunch again.

"I-i promise I'll take good care of him.." Taehyung told grandpa.

"Wait, you would?" His grandpa grinned. "You actually would?"

"Yes. I lost my parents too when I was at a young age.. I understand how he must've felt. I wanna.." He sighed. "Be his friend."

"I mean it's fine if you wanna be more than friends but hm.." His grandpa mumbled.

"Sorry?"
"Nothing." He grinned.

"Thank you, Taehyung." He hugged him. "Thanks so much. You make me felt so relieved now that an angel is looking after him."

"Don't call me an angel."
"Right, cus Jungkook is."

WHAT IS HE SO SAVAGE FOR. Taehyung frowned. Becoming his friend isn't too hard.. right?

Whom I kidding.. I haven't been friends with anyone ever since high school..

But.. It's Jungkook. He mentally cried.

All of a sudden, he gripped onto Taehyung's wrist, making his entire body jerk forward.

"Grandpa?" Taehyung's eyes widened.

"Don't you dare hurt my Jungkookie."
"W-what?" Taehyung stuttered for the first time in almost 2 years of his life.

"If I hear you did one bad thing to him, I'll-"
"Ow ow-!"

"I'll kill you- UNDERSTAND ME."

"Y-yes, I understand you.." Taehyung plead as he held onto his hand. "I promised to be his friend.. I won't hurt him j-just please let me go.." He lets go of his arm and Taehyung quickly retracted his hand.

"Oh!" Jungkook said coming out of the kitchen only to go back inside. "I'll go make us lunch too."
"JEON-" Taehyung said but he already went back inside.

"You just offered me a huge responsibility which I can still change my mind to so why are you threatening me?" Taehyung asked as he rubbed onto his wrist.

"The responsibility itself is why I had to threaten you." His grandpa grinned. "He's like a son to me.

"Hm." Taehyung rolled his eyes. "What makes you think I hurt him?"
"He often tells me you're nice."

"He does?" Taehyung blushed. "Wait, but-"

"But you don't seem like it to me."

Taehyung frowned.

"Also, since you've agreed." He grinned. "If you ever decided to leave him alone to die I'll come after you from the dead okay."

"Please don't do that.." He sighed. "I thought you trusted me.."

"Nah not really."
