Chapter 1 - Mr. Kim

"Mr. Kim?"

Taehyung turned around, fixing the sleeves of his dress shirt.
"Open the front gate, I'm in a hurry."

"Yes, sir." His housekeeper said.

Taehyung became a cold person. He cut off all his family ties and ended all relations he had with his friends, everyone he knew and once cared about. It hurts, but he knew he couldn't bring himself to trust anyone anymore. No, at least not after what's happened.

He's often stressed from work.

"Paper works.. so many paper works."

He had to start working ever since the age of 18.

"Shit- I'm running late for a meeting."

He had to force himself to learn all the things he never knew or once cared about. He quit school, stayed up all night learning. Just so he could replace his parent's place and take over the company.

Now, he's 21.

"Thank you, Mr Kim." Each said as they left the room.

Despite his cold personality, he's really good at making the business work. He was bornt with a charm, his face, and maybe that was enough.

"More paper works."

He could've hired himself a personal assistant, but because of his trust issues he preferred doing almost everything on his own.

"Finally."

He arrived home at 11pm.

"Lucia!" He yelled from downstairs, causing the maid to rush down the staircase from her room.
"Y-yes sir?"

"Why were my shoes out in the rain? I told you to put them indoor."
"I'm sorry, sir.."

"And why were your shoes on the mat? You wanted me to trip?" He scolded. "Cheapass plastic- Go change the mat!"

"Sir, it was nothing like that." She took the mat to replace it with a clean one.

"Just because you got your salary last night doesn't mean you'd.." Taehyung stopped talking when he noticed Lucia clutching onto a suitcase.

"What? You wanted to resign?" Taehyung chuckled. "Not going to, you're not allowed to. Not after what I've done for you."

"Sir, I appreciate all the years you let me work for you but I couldn't keep this up anymore." Lucia lowered her head. "Waking up to getting scolded everyday knowing that I did nothing wrong, coming home afraid knowing that you'd get mad at me for sneaking out, I'm tired of it." She let out a breathe. "I've worked here for 7 years now and I know you and your parents had helped me a lot with my family. But, no matter what I do, it seems like I couldn't please you."

"Wait, Lucia.."
She handed him her resignation letter.

"I see how it is."

Lucia wore the shoes that were kicked off to the side of the mat and walked out the door, not looking back.

"And sir.." Taehyung glared at her. "Please be nice to the new housekeepers. They deserved to be treated right, please." With that, she closed the door and left.

Taehyung looked at the paper that was held in his hands and he crushed it before harshly throwing it onto the ground.

"Lucia. Whatever, Lucia. I'll find someone better than you. Someone who works cleaner than you. Faster than you."

He went upstairs and threw himself in bed, trying to ease off the headache that has been filled with nothing but meetings and paper works.
