It's been a week. A long week of sadness, frustration and anger. Each day the passes by Ricky finds a new way to hurt me worse than the day before. He went from physically hurting me to mentally killing me. Every chance he gets he reminds me of my daughter and screams at my face how it's my fault she's gone. Eventually I'll get to the point where I can't anymore and might end up killing myself. I haven't yet because of my family.
Speaking of my family, I've lost all connection with everyone. I'm on surveillance 24/7. He even moved into my own home. There's moments I wish I could scream Lorenzo's name so loud he would come save me but then I remember he won't because he left, he left me.
The only one who's been wanting to rescue me or at least keeps me on check is my poor brother Geo. He obviously doesn't know what Ricky is up to so I have to lie to him and make up any excuse for him to not come over. He knows something's up and I'm scared one day he decides to come and confront Ricky and gets killed for it. I can only pray for that not to happen.
It's around three in the afternoon and I'm here at the trap house locked up in a room just working. I've been working since yesterday. Not that I want to be here, Ricky does. He making me work a lot more than usual. I guess it's another way for him to torture me.
Poor Leo has also been work around the clock with me. Ricky wants me to teach him every single thing I know. Today he was sent to close down a deal.
The door to the room opens.
"Hey it's me," Leo says.
I keep my eyes anywhere else but him since I'm not allowed to look at him. Lord, how did my life get to this?
"Hi, how did it go?" I mumble.
"It went just as planned," he replied.
"Good for you."
I get back to weighing cocaine when I hear the door close shut. I turn around and see Leo come up to me gets me off my chair and takes me into a hug.
"No Leo! What are you doing!" I hissed as my heart begins to beat faster and faster.
"I am so sorry you're going through this and it's all my fault," he whispers in my ear. "This is the only chance we've got to be alone. Is there anything I can do to help?"
My heart stops as I think my prayers were just answered.
"Yes! Yes! Leo are you willing to help me?" I whispered a little to loudly.
He nods, "yes just make it quick. Hurry tell me. We don't got much time."
"Give me your phone quick!" I command.
He gives me his phone and I quickly take it. I dial Odin's number, call it, then hang up, and give him back his phone.
"Call the first number on your call log. His name is Odin tell him what's going on and that I need his help again," I lick my lips seems like I'm having a panic attack. "Tell him to reach out to Diablo first and to explain what's going on. I need help Leo. If I don't get out this I'll probably kill myself."
"Don't worry I won't let you down," he says confidently then takes me into a hug.
"Veronica! Get over here!"
We both jump at Ricky's yell from downstairs.
"You need to go now," I tell him.
He nods but not before pecking my lips. It kind of took me off guard. If I was feeling a hundred right now I would of slapped him but I have zero energy right now.
I wait a couple seconds until I think he's safe and I'm clear to go downstairs too.
"What do you want Ricky?" I call out right before reaching the living room.
