It's been about three days that I've been staying with Angel and Odin and honestly I'm loving it here. When they said they were down to keep us safe they weren't kidding. Odin has Surenos all over the house patrolling every street, alley, and sidewalk for any rivals. Obviously the Surenos don't know all the protection is for me if they were to find out Diablo would swat in to kill me.
Out of all of this I think Elena is the one having it rough. Because we have to stay very lowkey we have to stay in the house most of the time and she's not used to being indoors. I do take her outside but it's not the same as taking her to a park or the mall. It hasn't been rough for me though. I've gotten a lot closer to Correy, Jennifer, Adrian, and another homie Jesse and we've been chilling everyday. It literally feels like high school all over again.
Anyways today Odin invited a couple homies over to watch the Suns game. SO here I am in the basement changing Elena into black leggings and a cute knitted dress. Melissa is also coming over later which is exciting because Lena loves playing with Legend.
"Okay mamas we're done," I say to her as I put her on the floor so she can walk. "You look so beautiful!"
"Thaaanks," she grins in her tiny voice.
She's been learning a lot of words. It kinda freaks me out sometimes when she attempts to speak sentences.
I let her play with Ben's toys while I checked my phone. I send a quick text to Melissa asking her if she could come over already. She responds immediately saying yes. Just as I was going to reply I hear the door open and down came Angel with Ben.
She gasps when she sees Elena.
"Oh my gosh you so look so adorable!" she tells her.
"Thank you," Elena says once again taking Angel by surprise.
I nod when she looks at me in awe.
"She's been saying a bunch of words lately," I tell her.
"That's crazy," she utters amazed.
"Oh, um, Odin needs to talk to you. He said it's urgent. He's in the kitchen," she informs. "I can take care of Lena while you go."
I slowly nod feeling curious of what he wants to tell me. By the look on her face I could tell that it wasn't good.
I get to the kitchen and see him sitting on the counter with phone in hand.
"Hey, what happen?" I ask him.
He looks up startled and takes a minute to answer. Now I'm getting worried.
He sighs, "Adrian overheard MS putos in a liquor store and... they know you're here."
I rub my face in frustration with a loud sigh. The exact words I did not want to hear.
"Already? How the fuck do they know?" I almost yelled.
"At the gas station."
"Fuck!" I punched the wall in anger as tears ran down my face.
"Aye chill," he tells me. "We ain't giving up Ronnie. As long as you're here no one will touch you or Elena but what does need to happen is your talk with Diablo. He's the only one that can have the entire gang looking after you. Right now they're against you so you need to talk to him as soon as possible!"
"But I can't I'm not ready," I insist.
"I know but you have to prepare yourself fast," he says softly.
He curses under his breath as he jumped off the counter and takes me into a hug, "I don't want you to worry okay? The only reason I'm telling you this is for you to be extra careful whenever you decide to go out," a pause, "I got you someone that is so down to be your 24 hour watchman."
"Who?" I ask confused.
"You'll see. He's coming later tonight to watch game," he grins.
I roll my eyes but managed to smile.

The basketball game has started and we're in the basement watching it in the huge plasma tv. Honestly I'm not enjoying it as much as I want too. My thoughts were stuck with MS and Diablo. I am a lot closer to the day that I have to confront him. Like I told Odin, I'm not ready yet. But yet again I HAVE too for Elena's protection.
Talking about protection, it's 7pm and whoever my watchman is, according to Odin, is not here yet. I'm not gonna lie I'm kinda curious on who it's going to be but somewhat nervous too.
During a timeout in the second quarter of the game I had to use the bathroom. I leave Elena with Melissa and went to do my business upstairs.
As I make my way back to the basement I hear a knock on the front door. I stand still for a second not knowing if I should open it or not. The person knocks once again a little harder and I build up the courage to check who it is.
I look through the peak hole on the door and my heart melts when I see it's Diego. I quickly unlock the door and open it. I pull him inside to avoid being seen incase we're being watched.
"Veronica," he says taking me into a tight huge.
"Where have you you? The minute Diablo put out orders to kill you-" he pauses, "you scared the shit out of me when no one could find you."
"I'm sorry-" was all I could say.
"It's okay, Odin told me a little bit about what happened. You have a daughter now don't you?" he asks.
I smile, "yeah her name's Elena. She's one and a half. Do you want to meet her?"
He nods with a smile. "I do but first I want us to talk. I need to know what's been going on and what you wanna do now."
I raise my eyebrow, "you're my watchman?"
"Yes, I am," he grins. "Is there a problem?"
I shrug my shoulders and shake my head.
We talked and talked for the rest of the night. I told him everything and I mean everything that happened with Diablo, Daniel, and MS. Let me tell you I have never seen Diego this angry ever. I literally had to give him a million reasons to stop him from going after Diablo.
Although I did confess that I never left because of Diablo. Yes, I was mad at him because he got Monica pregnant but that wasn't the reason I left. It all had to do with MS. What makes me hate him now is because of what he made Melissa go through and his orders to kill me even if it meant risking his daughter's life. That is something I will never forgive him for.
By the end of the night Diego helped me decide that the talk between Diablo and I will be done tomorrow night. I'm already feeling scared.
How will he react? Will he try to kill me? Would he even want to talk? I guess I'll have to see tomorrow.
