Anxiety was starting to kick in as a million thoughts filled my head. Daniel, Elena, and I are standing right outside the entrance to the plane but I froze right before I could go in. Am I making the right choice? Will Elena and I really be safe? How will this step change our lives? I think it's too late to question myself now. There's no turning back.
"Are you sure about this?" Daniel questions.
I hesitate, "I'm sure. Are you sure you'll be okay?"
"Yeah but I'll be better once I know you both are safe at your friends house. Please don't forget to call me right away," he tells me.
"I promise I will."
A lady in a blue uniform approach us saying, "ma'am the planes doors are close to closing."
"Okay I'm coming," I snap a little too harsh.
I look at Daniels broken face as he hands me Elena but not before giving her one last hug and a kiss on the check.
"Take good care of her," he says.
In return I throw myself at him as tears spilled," thank you, thank you, thank you for you everything you've done for us. I love you so so much. Please take care of yourself."
He slams his lips against mine passionately one last time.
"I love you," he whispers in my ear.
"Ma'am we really got to go," the lady speaks again.
"Bye," I say at last then follow the lady to the plane.

Four hours later we arrived to Phoenix Sky Harbor. I walked at a fast pace with Elena in one hand and my giant suitcase in the other. I made sure to have my hoodie over my head and sunglasses on just in case there's any Surenos. It's a little past midnight so the sunglass really make me look stupid but oh well. Off to find Corey at the parking lot. Hopefully I'll be able to find them.
The flight on the plane was good I guess. At first I couldn't stop crying because it hurt so bad to leave Daniel but its not forever goodbye. After I let out all my emotions I started to get excited. My parents will soon be able to meet their granddaughter in person and so will my brothers and Melissa.
The exit to the airport was now in view. I scanned around double checking for any familiar faces and I smile when I find one.
Correy.
He sees me struggling and immediately jogs to the rescue.
"Thanks," I tell him when he took my suitcase.
"Don't sweat it," he smirks then looks at Elena. "She's cute."
"Thanks. Odin let you find me? This wasn't part of the plan though," I ask confused.
"We scanned the whole area and if you notice princess there ain't much people around but that doesn't mean you're safe yet so come on girl, move," he hurries me.
"Psh, still cocky I see," I teased making him scowl.
We hurried to the farthest end of the parking lot. He lead me to a extremely nice white Cadillac Escalade. Standing next to it, Angel and Odin.
"Here she is," Correy says.
"Oh my gosh Veronica she's so adorable," Angel squeals as she gestured at Elena to carry her.
Elena immediately reaches over and she takes her giving so much relief to my right arm.
"Welcome home nugget," Odin smiles softly.
