DIABLO'S POINT OF VIEW
"Diablo?"
Listening to her voice for the first time after a while being gone, made chills run down my spine and legs feel weak as fuck.
I just look away feeling ashamed without saying anything. There is nothing I can say to her just that I'm such a fuck up. After everything I made her go through and what I found is happening to her now... fucking shit. I wish I could go back in time and change everything.
My heart breaks at the sound of her sobbing. I quickly turn my head to look at her just to see her looking at me but then she quickly turns to Odin.
"Odin you gotta help me. You gotta do something about Ricky," she pleaded. "He's threatening to kill my family and Geo."
Odin nods taking a seat next to her, "shh it's okay. That's why we're here. We're going to help you, Roni. Don't worry. Just calm down."
"Where's Geo?" she cried unable to calm down.
Gustavo answers, "he should be here soon."
She nods then takes Odin into a hug and he begins to comfort her.
A sense of jealousy flows over me. I should of always been the one to be right there by her side. I swear I don't get how Angel isn't trippin having her man comforting another girl like that. Watching Odin being that close with her makes me wanna grab him by the throat and throw him out.
Instead, I fight my protective ass and lean against the wall to keep my distance and let Odin do his thing because at the end I know he really cares about her as a friend or more like his sister.
After a solid five minutes Roni finally calms down which means it's time to start talking and planning our next move to end these motherfuckers. There's so much shit I want to know about Roni and there's so much she needs to know about me. Like why I left.
"First of all," Gustavo begins, "who the hell is Leo?"
She looks at everyone in the room, at Gustavo, Clumsy, Odin, Angel, Melissa and I, before she could answer. Almost like questioning herself if she can really trust us which kinda hurt.
She licks her lips, "he's my soon to be replacement. Ricky hired him to take over my job. He wants me to train him, teach him everything I know about the deals and products. Leo offered to help me-"
He cuts her off, "shit! I told you! He's trying to set us up. Ricky probably knows you're alive-"
"Shut up!" I scowled then look at Roni. "Tell us everything from the beginning. Don't leave anything out."
And so she continued telling us everything. She told us about the threats, the changes Ricky is making in the gangs business, and how he recently changed his mind about killing her. I never liked Ricky since I met him and now I fucking hate him. He's going to pay for everything he did to Roni through a slow painful death. He's got it fucking coming.
One thing she did leave out that Leo told us was that he also beat her. When I first heard him tell me that my soul and everything was on fire and I wanted to go kill him right then and there. If Odin hadn't stopped me Ricky would of been gone by now. Now I just want Veronica to confirm that he did that to her because there was a part of me that couldn't believe Roni wouldn't let that happen.
"Is it true he put his hands on you?" I said in cold tone cutting her off with whatever she was saying to Angel.
"What?" Melissa and Angel look at her surprised since they didn't know about that part.
