Wait, what? THIS is how the story ends?
Maybe. Or maybe not. *evil laugh*
Why? Because I wanted the ending to be somewhat conflicting as to who did it and why. Also, I lowkey wanted to confuse everyone who skips to the last chapter to know who the murderer is without reading the story.
But worry not, dear readers! The motive to the murder do exist, and right after this epilogue will come two extra chapters that will reveal the full answer as to who did it and why. I assume most of you have a good idea, but with those chapters you'll be 100% sure :)
Why aren't those extra chapters part of the main chapters, you ask? Because I actually didn't want the story to have a full closing. I wanted the story to have a tragic end (Jin being arrested for the murder) but I didn't want the story to have an answer (why Hoseok was killed).
Basically I wanted to set doubts and leave the answer to your interpretation of things. So you may still take your guesses, knowing what you know now~ Because, believe it or not, you know a LOT ;)
Hints: The Hobi-Yoongi-SeokJin love triangle, is it really a triangle? Why did Hoseok die that specific night? What changed? Or rather, what happened during the night?
We'll found out in the extra chapters! The only thing missing for you to put the pieces back together is perhaps Hoseok's POV ;) Thus, the extra chapters (that will follow this epilogue) will reveal the murderer and explain the motive. You may choose to read them or not. If you do read them, please keep your comments about the murder in those extra chapters so it doesn't spoil the story and its ending for others.
After the extra chapters, appropriately titled EXTRA (part one and two), I'll publish a storyline discussion (that will talk about the plot lines relating to each member) and a clues compilation that will wrap up all the clues about who the murderer was (which will mostly make sense if you read the extra chapter and know why the murder happened). Then will come a chapter for questions.
Also: I'll go on a short writing hiatus after all of Purple Death is said and done since I have a lot of irl stuff I need to catch up on. HOWEVER, I might write another BTS murder mystery at some point as I have some ideas for another one. If you want to know about it, follow me or keep this story in your library and you'll get a notification when I will start publishing it! It won't be for at least two months, though, and that is if it actually happens. And be warned that it may be much darker and much more elaborate than Purple Death. This story was like an appetizer, y'all ;)
