For about three months, the famed hero and the new coming city girl had been running into each other.

The hero was always making excuses to get out of predicaments to go and see her. He wanted badly to tell her who he was, and how he felt about her. Countless times his out of this world hearing would pick up some guy trying to flirt with her, and he'd blast there immediately to break it up and take her home. It confused (y/n) for some time, but then she began to catch onto his crush. He didn't want her to know, and he didn't want to have feelings for her, but despite his protests to his own mind, he was head over heels for this girl. And he swore to himself that he wasn't about to let her slip away from him.

He had told his brother about her, and he encouraged Gerard to ask her out. He told Gerard once; "look man, I'm no good with picking up chicks, but you should ask her out and see how it goes. Build up a bond. And when you trust her enough, show her your face and tell her your name." Mikeys wise words rang in our heroes ear for days. Gee knew that it was inevitable that she found someone to date soon, and she'd be out of his grasp. So one night, he appeared in her window as usual hen he wanted to talk to her. She'd let him in, and they sat down with coffee and talked. He had grown the balls to ask her out, and to his surprise and great joy, she accepted his request.

(Y/n) found herself enticed by the hero. She felt drawn to him. Every time he looked at her with those beautiful hazel eyes in a puppy dog manner, she felt a spark of electricity go through her veins and her heart would melt. She had gotten to know him better over the course of the three months, and she wanted to know more, so when he has asked her out she couldn't help but say yes.

The date was spent in a way that both of them enjoyed. He had taken her to the top of the Empire State Building to show her the full city. She had loved the view. They both sat on the edge. She trusted that if she fell, he would catch her, and he knew that he would have done just that. He loved her, and he wouldn't let her get hurt.

When (y/n) yawned and rested her head on his shoulder, that signaled him that it was time to take her home and get her to sleep. She had told him about having a job interview in the morning, and he wanted her to be well rested and at the top of her game.

He gently took her in his arms, smiling gently down at her. She gave him a smile in return that made his heart flutter.

"Hang on tight, darling."

And with that he took off to take his love back home.

He dropped her off on the roof like he had done three months prior. His arms encircled the girls waist, keeping her close to him, and in turn her arms rested around his neck.

"Thank you for that. It was wonderful." She smiled up at him. Though she didn't know what his full face looked like, she was smitten with him and never wanted to let go of him. She was in love with his kind personality.

He returned her grateful smile. "Thank you for letting me take you out. I've been wanting to do this for some time now." The thought of Gerard wanting to take her on a date for a long time made (y/n)'s heart flutter a bit.

A question sprung into the young girls head, one that she wouldn't dare ask him when she had met him. But now, since she knew about his interests a great amount more, she felt like she at least deserved to know his name.

She stared up at the part of his face that she could see, and worked up the guts to ask him. "What's your name?" She whispered. "Not like, your alter ego, what's your real name?"

He stared down at her wondering if he should tell her or not.

"You can trust me, you know." She added. "It's not like I have any friends to tell."

He considered her proposition. She was right. And if he wanted her to trust him and love him like he loved her, she'd have to know sooner or later. However, it would be dangerous for both him and her for someone to know. He wanted to protect her.

"You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

"Sorry, sweetheart. I think it's best you don't know for now." His heart hurt at his own words.

Her entire face dropped at his words. "Oh. Okay. Well, goodnight then." She backed out of the hero's grasp and began to walk towards the door. She didn't want to just leave him hanging, but she had to admit she was tired and didn't have time for this.

Gerard's heart broke more at her just walking away like that. She was about to open the door when Gerard made his final decision.

"It's Gerard." The girl paused at the door. "My name is Gerard."

She turned slowly back towards him, her flannel shirt crumpling in an odd way. She approached him once again, slowly to instill his slight anxiety. She got right up next to him again, staring right into his eyes. He wondered what she was up to, raising his eyebrows confusion, but was nearly knocked out when she quickly grabbed the back of his neck and pulled him in, connecting her lips to his fiercely.

His eyes shot open and his hands went to her hips in surprise. He let himself melt into her touch, snaking his arms around her and holding her close as if she were his lifeline.

She allowed her hands to travel up into his bright red hair, and tug a bit, drawing a slight groan from him. (Y/n) relished in the feeling he gave her. She felt like she was high. High on him. It was heavenly.

The moment ended all to quickly for the both of them when they parted for air. She held his face in her hands and rested her forehead in his. His heart was racing and his head was spinning. He held her to him tighter, never wanting to let her slip away from his grasp. He wanted to hold her in his arms for eternity.

"I love you." He breathed against her lips, giving them another sweet kiss. "I love you." He repeated the words over and over, showering kisses over every inch of her face. She was so beautiful to him.

"I love you too." She breathed back, taking it in. Their lips connected again in a sweet kiss that made both of them dizzy. Much to (y/n)'s dismay, she still had that job interview in the morning and she had to sleep. She didn't want to leave him, but she had to. So when she pulled back, she felt like she was losing him, and he felt it too.

She purses her lips and smiled, looking up into the hypnotic hazel eyes. "Goodnight, Gerard. See you tomorrow?"

He smiled back down at her and pecked her lips again. "Definitely. Goodnight, beautiful." And with one last peck in the lips and a slight fight with himself, he let her go.

He watched her with a fond smile as she went inside. She turned back and gave him a grin and said "I love you, Gerard." One last time, to which he returned before she disappeared behind the door.

The hero threw his head back, grinning like a mad man. He got the girl. He was in love.

Mikey was gonna be so proud.
