~three days ago~

It had all happened so fast.

One minute, he was in your arms, showering you with kisses.

The next, he was being ripped away from you by CyberLife workers.

His and your yells of protest echoed through your house as they dragged him away. His LED was solid red, showing that he was in danger.

No matter how much you screamed for them to let him go, they wouldn't listen.

His protests had no effect on the workers either.

How had cyberlife found out? How did they know about Gerard's deviancy? They couldn't have been spying. Maybe a neighbor told on him? But who would do that? And how did they know?

"Please! Don't take him from me! He's all I have!"

"Let me go!" His ragged screaming rang in your ears.

Everything seemed to be going in slow motion. Gerard's face was pure fear.

It was over. Nothing could've been done to save him.

~present time ~

Jericho.

That was the name of the place you had to find.

The sanctuary for deviant androids. The place where you would use your IT knowledge to help androids fight for equality.

After what happened to Gerard, you knew that you had to make a stand. For him. To avenge him. To make a better future for his kind. In order to do that, you had to find Markus. The appointed leader of the Android revolution.

Apparently only androids would be able to find Jericho. Man was that wrong. It was relatively easy. All you had to do was follow the symbols that were scattered about.

Pulling your scarf around your neck, you made your way to the end of the trail. It was... a boat? Jericho was a boat? Well, it was a barge used for materials transportation, but all the same, it was a boat. You strode carefully over the rusted metal floor, hoping it wouldn't break beneath you. You came up on a massive hole in the boat that looked as if it lead to something. You knew what it was.

    The leap of faith.

You spread your arms out (t pose) and closed your eyes, allowing yourself to free fall into the dark abyss.

With a loud 'splash' the cold sensation of the water below surrounded you making you shiver. You quickly flailed your arms around in a desperate attempt to swim to the surface. You gasped loudly as you surfaced, drawing in as much air as you possibly could. You hurriedly wipes your eyes off and spotted the nearest ledge to grab hold of. You hoisted yourself up, still gasping for air. You collected yourself enough to get to your feet and pull out your flashlight to make out your surroundings.

You followed old twisty corridors that were heavily rusted and looking unstable, and hoped that the floor beneath you wouldn't give way.

You thought about how the androids would react to a human finding their hideaway. They'd probably be surprised and angry at you. But you knew that you had to try.

You thought back to Gerard. How his synthetic eyes lit up when he saw you smile, how he treated you like a delicate flower, ready to fall apart at the lightest touch.

Oh, Gerard. My one and only love. I will avenge you, darling. I promise.

There was a loud metallic screech ahead of you that snapped you out of your thoughts. You were in the doorway of a massive room full of androids.

And they were all looking at you. whispering to themselves.

You cleared your throat loudly. "I-I'm here to see m-Markus." Your voice shook slightly.

"I am him." A smooth, masculine voice came from beside you. He was a rather tall android, colored skin and clothed in what looked like a minuteman cloak. "You're human." He observed.

You swallowed hard. "Uh, y-yeah. I-I came looking for this place because I think I can h-help you."

Markus scanned your face carefully. "And, hows that?"

You cleared your throat again, summoning your confidence. "I am an IT graduate who can both reprogram and build an android from scraps. I believe that I may be of some help when it comes to maintaining your numbers."

Markus seemed to consider this, but then looked back up at you with skepticism in his eyes. "And why would we trust you? For all I know, you could be a spy."

You sucked in a sharp breath. You didn't want to talk about Gerard, but you had to. "Don't laugh at me, but my boyfriend is-was an android and lets just say, I've seen what violence occurs when cyberlife finds a deviant, and I hate it. I lost the love of my life." A tear ran down your cheek, "and I'm here to help fight for equality. To fight for what he wanted. To avenge him."

Markus watched you carefully, as did the other androids in the room. "A human in love with an android. That's new. Well, I suppose the more people we have to help us the better, and we are running low on medics." He looked about the room. "What say everyone?"

The other androids stood at their stations in silence, until one spoke up. "Ah, what the hell. She's with our cause, so why not?"

The others agreed with him.

You smiled lightly as Markus grinned and put a hand on your shoulder. "Welcome to the revolution, Miss-"

"(Y/n)."

"Miss (y/n). You're one of us now."
