You flicked your dark hair out of your face as you entered your new school. You and your parents had just moved to New Jersey. But this isn't because of a job... Well sorta.

You and your parents were witches. Protectors of the world. See back in 200AC, witches and humans made a deal with each other. Humans wouldn't kill witches if they protected them from hybrids.

Hybrids were pure evil. They were a cross breed between demons and gremlins, hence the name. They were able to shape shift, and use powerful magic to prey on humans for food.

Fast forward to the present, humans forgot witches and hybrids even existed, yet witches still honor the vow. Hybrids hide amongst the human race hoping to get easy meals, but then are usually interrupted by a witch.

Now that your dad knew there were hybrids in Jersey, you did your job and hunted them down to kill them.

You were still training, but you were pretty powerful yourself. You were able to cast certain spells, mind control, and were capable of telekinesis. You were pretty damn good at your job.

Your mission from your dad was to find a group of three guys named Trevor, Ryan, and Jason. Apparently the originals had been possessed by hybrids looking for an easy meal. You had pictures of all of them, and you could already tell that were total asses.

You had received your timetable, and were on your way to your first class which was history.

"Alright, nerd! Time to pay up!" A douche bag voice spat. The school halls were nearly deserted as everyone was at lunch.

You spotted the three imposters pinning a boy against the lockers, probably about to kill him. The boy was terrified. He had all the reason to be.

"Alright boys, party's over." You mocked dryly. They snapped their heads in your direction and glared.

"This has nothing to do with you."

"Actually yes, it does. I know what you three are. Leave the boy alone."

"Well well, boys. It's a witch. What are you gonna do? Enchant us to death?"

With a wave of your hand, one of them was slammed against the wall opposite of him. You smirked. "Give up."

Instead of taking your advice, the one who wasn't holding the kid to the locker charged you and attempted to lunge for your throat with sharp claws. With a snap of your fingers, he froze mid air. His eyes widened.

You only smirked as you tossed him against the lockers as hard as possible. His body fell to the ground with a thump, lifeless.

"You bitch!" The one holding the human against the wall charged you like the other boy did, and you snapped again, freezing him.

"You can't get me." You sang, taunting him. You looked back at the human and said; "don't move. Trust me." He nodded swiftly.

Summoning all your powers, you created a blast that only effected the hybrids, dissolving all three of them into dust.

The boy stared at you with wide eyes. "H-how? Did you do that? What are you?" He rushed, pushing back up against the lockers. You approached shim slowly, as not to scare him.

"I'm a witch." You crouched down in front of him. "They," you motioned back to where the boys were, "were hybrids. Pure evil. I just saved your life."

"Oh, well." He swallowed hard. "Thank you."

"You're very welcome. But now, I'm afraid you have to forget this ever happened."

His eyes widened. "W-what?"

You smiled softly. "Humans aren't allowed to know witches and hybrids exist. I have to erase the memory. It won't hurt. It's just. Like," you snapped your fingers "magic."

"W-who are you?"

You smiled. You erased the memory of the fight. He should still remember the bully part, though. "Names (y/n). You okay? You kinda blacked out there."

"Oh, yeah. I'm fine. What happened?"

"Those dudes had you against the lockers, but I scared them off."

"Thanks." He gave you a small smile. "I'm Gerard."

"Nice to meet you, Gerard. Judging by the Metallica shirt you're rocking, I think we'll get along just fine."
