it was an old man. his face was covered by a large hood. link felt skeptical at first, but eventually opened up and listened to the old man's story.
link felt like he wasn't his own person at this point.
he was told to go to another building named 'the temple of time' and then follow the gold circle on his slate.
link agreed anyway, and started to head towards the destination. a feeling of lost washed over him as he was still confused to why he was doing all of these tasks.
— later —
he walked for a bit and reached a strange looking tower. he approached it. towers suddenly shot up from the ground all over the place and link blacked out.
he woke up to see that he was on the same tower and he saw the same looking device as the one in the building he woke up in.
"scanning area..."
link was amazed as he saw a map appear on the screen of his slate and studied it for a while.
"the great plateau? hylia, where am i?"
— later —
"you must bring me the reward, then you can have my glider."
link accepted the deal from the old man and went into the shrine. it was fairly easy, not too complicated as he guessed this was just the basics. he saw more shrines when he was atop the tower, all over the land he was in. link had a feeling that they would get harder as he progressed.
he returned to the old man and explained that he was given a spirit orb. the old man chuckled and explained that there were three more he needed to get before he could have his paraglider. link gave an unamused face and the old man laughed.
"do not worry, young one. i promise you will have my paraglider after you have accomplished all three".
