Chapter 40

"Why not let me do it for you, hmm?"

J said while lifting his gun up pointing it directly at Taehyung.

"J-Jungkook..." Taehyung whispered, staring at the man that he once loved with all his heart in disbelief.

"Goodbye, boy. I'll be sure to tell Jungkook how much you loved him,"

With that, he pulled the trigger...

But when doing so, J felt a sharp pain in his head.

BANG!!

It hurts so much that he felt like his whole body twisted, making his gun didn't aim properly, and shot directly right next to Bogum and Taehyung.

Bogum had no reaction at all, while Taehyung was scared out of his life.

Both of them watched as J struggled to ease the pain in his head by holding his head tightly.

Bogum took the opportunity and shot J right at his shoulder, making him fall backward.

"Jungkook!!" Taehyung screamed.

Bogum let go of Taehyung, and went straight up to J.

As J tried gaining back his senses, Bogum stepped right on the place where he was injured.

"Arghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!" J screamed in pain.

He tried to reach for his gun, but was stopped when Bogum added more force in his wound.

"Hah, you think you can win, Jeon?! I don't think killing Tae is worth enough, but killing you? Wow, it's a whole lot different story!!" Bogum mocked and laughed.

"Imagine the whole powerful Jeon Jungkook would die in my own hands, such a shame!!"  he added.

Bogum watched as J struggled, he leaned forward, then said.

"You don't deserve your company, you don't deserve Tae, not even your own child..."

J watched as Bogum steadied his gun, aiming it right at his face.

"Say goodbye Jeon!!"

"Noooooooooooooooo!!!!!" Taehyung screamed while he pushed Bogum away from J, making them both tumbling down on the floor.

But unfortunately, Taehyung hit his head hard on the cupboard near him, blood started to drip from his forehead.

"What the fuck are you doing Tae?!" Bogum yelled, already standing up.

Taehyung was laying on the cold floor.

Taehyung just smiled weakly.

"Even if he said those horrible things, I know that he didn't mean it..."

Taehyung said while coughing up blood.

He stared right into J, more like the real Jungkook as he noticed that his eyes had turned back into his normal dark brown color.

He smiled.

"But he doesn't deserve you Tae!!" Bogum yelled.

Taehyung didn't care what Bogum just said.

He only looked at Jungkook.

Jungkook was already gaining back his senses and got up weakly, holding his wound as blood were dripping madly.

Taehyung smiled, and said.

"... That's because I love him... With all my heart... "

Taehyung said as tears began to fill up his beautiful doe eyes.

"It's because I love him, and I know he loves me... And that's why we have Taegguk... He is the symbol of our love..."

Taehyung felt weak...

"NOOOOOOO!!!" Jungkook charged forward and punched Bogum right in his face.

He punched at Bogum multiple times painfully, cause all he felt was pain.

"YOU'LL FUCKING PAY FOR THIS!!!" Jungkook screamed while he continued punching him.

"J-Jungkook... Stop...." Taehyung said weakly, and Jungkook stopped.

Jungkook looked at the already messed up Bogum who looked like he was laying lifelessly on the floor one last time before reaching out for Taehyung.

He knelt right next to Taehyung.

He looked at Taehyung...

Tears were starting to form...

Taehyung looked so weak...

"Tae..." Jungkook said softly as he held Taehyung tightly in his arms, crying softly.

Taehyung smiled weakly, he held his right hand up and placed it softly on Jungkook's cheek.

"You're back, Kookie..." Taehyung spoke.

Jungkook held onto Taehyung's right hand.

"I know," he said.

Taehyung smiled.

"Jungkook..."

"Y-Yes...?"

"I love you..."

"I love you too..."

Taehyung looked at Jungkook one last time.

"I'm sorry for doing this, Kookie..."

Jungkook stared, confused.

"Wha—"

Jungkook didn't manage to finish his words when he felt Taehyung wrapped himself around Jungkook, using himself as a shield to block the incoming bullet that was coming right at Jungkook.

The bullet shot straight into Taehyung's chest from the back...

"I...love...you...so, so much..."

And those were Taehyung's last words before he blacked out...
