Tyler was spending a lot of his time immersed in his music. I loved that he was back to doing something that he loved. Seeing Tyler happy made me really happy. Our relationship was also so much better, we were much more connected. I felt like I had the man I married back. Ellie was also a whole lot happier to have her dad. She never really got to see the true side of Tyler that I loved and now she is. She always wants to play with him and tell him about her day at school. She absolutely adores him. Although Tyler has been spending a lot of time down in the studio, he always lets Ellie come in and he shows her all of the different equipment and even lets her sing into the microphones and bang on the drums. I love watching them be together and have fun.

There has been something that has recently happened to me. I haven't been feeling right and I don't know what it is. I hadn't told Tyler about it because I didn't want to worry him with my worries so I decided to go to the doctor. I scheduled an appointment and told Tyler that I was going to my parents house.

"Tyler, can you please keep a close eye on Ellie? I don't want her getting into trouble." I say.

"Of course. She can stay right down here and help me write this song, right El?" Tyler replied.

"Right! I'll be a very good girl, mommy." Ellie smiled.

"Good. I want a full report when I get back." I squint my eyes at Ellie and she squints back. I get into my car and drive off toward my doctor. When I get there, I sign in and take a seat. I hate waiting for the nurse to call me back, it's the anticipation. I had a very good idea about what was wrong with me but I didn't want to assume and I wanted to have a doctor check me out.

My name was finally called and when it was, many heads turned and lots of whispers were heard. This happens a lot. Not a ton of people will recognize me, except for die-hard twenty one pilots fans, but when my name is heard a lot of people connect the dots.

"So, Jenna, not feeling too good today?" The nurse asks when we get back to a room.

"Not really." I reply.

"What symptoms are you having?"

"Um...ok. I kind of have an idea about what this might be but I haven't actually checked myself."

"What's that?"

"I think I may be pregnant."

I really was enjoying the writing process again. I already had lyrics written down but I was just trying to re word some things and clean up other parts. I let Ellie run around the studio while I wrote so I could have her in my sight at all times. The song I was writing was starting to really come around. My lyrics, like all my songs, mean a lot to me. This song has a lot more meaning since it's about loosing Josh and loosing myself as well. It was a deep song but it was everything that I had going on in my head and I needed to write it down.

"Daddy, can we go outside to play?" Ellie asked.

"I really need to finish some work up here. Why don't you play on the keyboard?" I suggest.

"I really really want to go outside, daddy!" Ellie whined. I haven't had to deal with whining yet so I guess it was best for me to just let Ellie have her way.

"Fine. But only for a little bit, then I need to come back to work." I sigh.

"Yay!" Ellie cheered. She bounced her way up the stairs and I followed right behind. I looked out the window and it looked like it was about to rain but it was way too cold which means our first snow fall was probably going to happen soon.

"Ellie, get your jacket on please." I say. Ellie grabs her jacket off the hook by the door and puts it on. I help her zip it up and she slips on her shoes. We walk outside together and Ellie starts running through the yard. I sit on the front step and watch her have fun. I loved being a parent more than I thought. I really wish I was more of a father for the first 5 years, almost 6 years of Ellie's life but I'm glad I have her now and that I can be there for many more years to come.

After almost a half and hour of Ellie playing outside it started getting colder and it started to snow a little bit.

"Lets go in, El." I say. Ellie obeyed and we went back inside. I hung up Ellie's jacket and had her come down with me again. She ran to the drums and started banging away while I sat at my desk and worked on my lyrics a lot more. Soon after I started working on stuff again, I hear the door open and Ellie instantly knew it was her mom. She ran up the stairs yelling for her. Jenna came down stairs holding Ellie's hand and sat on the couch by my desk.

"So, can I have my full report on Ellie?" Jenna asks.

"Well, she was pretty good! She sat down here with me and played with the instruments. She had a little whiny moments but I caved and we went outside." I reply.

"Ellie! Were you whining like a baby!?" Jenna questions.

"I just really wanted to go outside!" Ellie defends.

"Well, you're lucky you have such a nice dad."

"I know I am. Now I'm going to go drum some more." Ellie hops off the couch and runs to the drums.

"How was your parents?" I ask.

"Oh! They were good." Jenna replied. She was acting kind of weird.

"It's snowing out."

"I know! You know what that means. Almost Ellie's birthday, your birthday and Christmas!"

"I can't believe Ellie is going to be 6."

"I know. Only 3 more days! And only 6 more days until you're 30!"

"Geez. That makes me sound old."

"I've heard that 30 is the new 17."

"Ha! I don't think I'd want to be 17 again." I laugh.

"You are going to have the best birthday, every year, no matter how old you are. That's how much I love you."
