A minute
is more than a minute
when I'm with you
When you
And I
Are us.
Time stops
Mid-flight.
Your smile freezes it
I think
Days and nights pass.
I crack a joke
You laugh
Our faces wrinkle
For a minute.
When I hold your hand
time goes not by.
God must look down
and smile
and sigh
Oh, what lovely creatures.
And cracks open hour glasses
For sand
For beaches
For paradise, with us in it
So I am happy, every single
minute
