Loki x reader Holiday oneshots

||-Winter Ball-||

It was another day at the compound, and you were currently finishing up wrapping a few gifts for your close friends, Wanda and Natasha. Loki, who has had a thing for you since he first laid eyes upon you, was watching you from afar, while sitting on the couch and reading his book across the room from you. Even if you were just wrapping presents up, he still thought your movements were so graceful and beautiful. You had just finished with the last bit of wrapping when Loki decides to approach you, remembering that there was a winter ball coming up soon, and deciding to try to figure out how to ask you out.

"Hello (Y/N), that's a lovely wrap job you did," he compliments on the perfectly wrapped presents, with a soft smile on his face.

"Awe why thank you Loki," you smile back, blushing a little.

"You're quite welcome," he responds, fidgeting nervously with his hands, " hey could I ask you something?"

"Yes of course," you reply, hoping that he's going to finally ask you out as you also like him back and have noticed how he is with you as opposed to the others.

"Okay, well there's this girl I like and I really want her to go with me to the ball that's coming up soon, but I'm not fully sure how to do that," he starts, " any advice you could give me that you think would help?"

"Oh, I'm sure I can think of something," you say nonchalantly, and feeling a little confused because you were certain that Loki really liked you and not some other girl, " I know personally, I would like it if a guy was to surprise me with some nice flowers and leave me a sweet note, along with surprising me with something that he knows I really like, that shows he was paying attention to my interests," you enthusiastically say to him, imagining that it was Loki doing these things for you.

"That's very good advice," Loki coos, smiling softly at you, " thank you my friend, this will be very helpful indeed," he finishes, while gently touching you on your shoulder and then walking away to get started on his plan.

'Why won't you love me back,' you think to yourself, as you slump off to make yourself a cup of tea in the kitchen, and then heading into the lounge area to visit with Steve, Tony and Natasha for a little while, upon seeing them while walking back to your room.

Meanwhile, Loki was busy figuring out how to make everything absolutely perfect for you. He sat down at the desk in his room, grabbing a piece of paper and a pen, beginning to write out a love note for you, taking his time to ensure that he didn't miss a single detail. After almost an hour of careful thought and planning, Loki finishes the note and then uses his magic to make the most beautiful flowers appear in his hand. He attaches the note to the flowers, and then carefully sneaks out of his room , not yet wanting you to see that he's your secret admirer. He swiftly moves past the lounge area, and notices that you're currently occupied in a conversation with Nat, Tony and Steve. He then goes into the kitchen, knowing full well that you'll come back into the room anytime to top up your cup of tea, and places the bouquet down beside the teapot, checking to make sure the note is still in place before making his leave to get started on placing the next clue.
Shortly after that, you come into the kitchen to refill your cup, just as Loki had anticipated. You're about to pick up the teapot, when you notice a very beautiful bouquet of flowers sitting beside it, along with a note attached to it. You carefully pick up the flowers, and read the note, seeing who they're for. Your eyes widened slightly when you see your name on the top of the paper. You detach the paper from the bouquet, and then continue to read the very lovely letter, that almost brings you to tears with how sweet it is :

My Dearest (Y/N),

The mention of your name stirs up feelings beyond  my comprehension, feelings that I've never  felt so strongly before. I can't help but feel like nothing else matters when I'm around you. You're everything I've ever wanted in a partner , you're kind, patient, loving and intelligent. I mean every single word of this  and hope that you enjoy these flowers as a symbol of my affections for you, my sweet girl.
