Not While I'm 17

•One week later•

Lea's POV

The first thing I see when I open my eyes is the guest room ceiling fan.

Cory's mom was home last night, so we played it safe and slept in separate rooms.

I roll over to grab my phone. There's a text from Cory.

Mark asked me to go and play disc golf this morning, I'll be back around 2. Love you😘

I don't bother to reply, he's probably having to much fun to check his phone.

I remove the bed sheets from my legs and walk downstairs to find Cory's mom.

"Hey Ann." I say groggily.

"Hey Lea, do you want some breakfast before I go to work?"

"Yeah, that'd be nice."

While making the pancake batter, she looks up at me. "Has all the teasing died down at school?"

"Yeah, but it still happens. It's just not as bad."

"It will be all gone soon, I promise." She replies while continuing on the batter.

Flashback

I was in class with Cory, trying to avoid all the staring from complete strangers when my principle walked in and whispered something to my teacher.

"Lea, could you come with me please?" My principle asks.

I give Cory a look but exit the room with my principle. We walk to his office where the familiar faces of 2 girls. They were the ones who videotaped me.

"It's come to our attention that these girls videotaped you in the locker room and posted it on a website. Is that correct, Lea?"

"Yes, but how did this come to your attention?" I ask curiously.

"Our source wishes to remain anonymous." He turns his attention to the girls who looked liked they've been crying.

"I'm not sure if you girls were aware, but videotaping a minor like the way you did and posting it on a website, is child pornography. This is a serious matter that can get you sent to prison. Instead, you are both expelled."

The girls burst out into tears. Good.

End of flashback

Ann recently left and I'm finished with my pancakes. I happened to glance at the clock and it read 11:30. Still got some time before Cory gets home.

I walk into the bathroom and glance at myself in the mirror. I'm glad Cory wasn't here this morning, because I look like a train wreck.

After I use the restroom, something stops me. My period was suppose to come at least a week or two ago.

This isn't really normal for me, my first thought is that I'm pregnant.

It would make since because Cory and I did do it last week but I thought he used protection. Yet they always did tell us in health class that condums don't always work 100%.

I grab my jacket and walk out the door to a CVS pharmacy which was only a five minute walk from his house.

Once in the store, I walk to the aisle that I should be in when I'm in my 20's, not while I'm 17.

My eyes travel along all the different brands, I don't know the first thing about these tests so I just grab a random box.

After checkout, I basically sprint back to Cory's and into the bathroom.

3 minutes. That's a lie, it felt like an hour.

Finally, my timer goes off and I unwillingly look at the stick.

A little plus sign, +.

I had so been wanting to see the negative sign.

I'm going to be a mom, but more importantly, Cory will be a dad.
