"They were so happy," Austin said in excitement, laying back on the grass. We had all just gotten back from giving Alan's parents the money. We were sitting in the park, Alex, Tony, and Matty throwing a football around as Kellin, Austin, Oli, and I laid in the grass, staring at the clouds or watching Oli's dog Oskar run around.
Alan's parents were so happy that they were able to entirely pay off their son's funeral. Alan's mom hugged each of us before breaking down and crying. Austin held her though as Alan's dad told us how much they appreciated it. We decided to come to the park to just reflect and cool down.
The summer was coming to an end, sending all is us into uncertainty. "What are we going to do now guys?" Alex sighed, grabbing the football and sinking to the grass.
"Well I'm going to be famous," Oli laughed smiling at a glaring Alex. "I'm sure you will be too, no worries remember we got to tour together." Alex perked up at that giving Oli a goofy smile.
"I can see the sign now: All Time Low with special guests Bring Me The Horizon."
"Special guests??" Oli scoffed, rolling his eyes. "You wish mate it's going to be the other way around."
"All I know is that you and I are going to set the world on fire man," Alex laughed, nudging Oli who smiled back at him.
"What about you Matty?" I asked, interested to hear from him.
"I think I'm going to focus on fixing my relationships with my ex and family. It would be cool to go to some college classes too," he sighed, looking up at the clouds.
"That's what I should be doing but I'm probably going to join these losers on their band dreams," Kellin laughed, squinting at the sun.
"What about you Austin?" Alex questioned. We all seemed a little nervous for his answer.
"I'm going to try to get better," he answered honestly. "I'm going to take it day by day and just hope that I can pull though." I have his shoulder a squeeze as Alex jumped foreword, pushing Austin back onto the grass and telling him how much he loves him.
"Tony?" Kellin questioned, looking to the quiet boy who just shrugged.
"I guess we just have to wait and see."
"We have to get together guys. I call a meeting at least twice a week. It'll be known as the mentally ill meetings where we'll watch movies, play songs and talk. Dr. Way will be proud of our therapy skills," Alex declared, getting off of the now smiling Austin.
"Sounds good man. Meetings of the mentally ill every Saturday and Thursday," Austin said as everyone nodded.
This is what we needed, to stick together. To have each other when the going gets tough. All of us are very far from being complete and healthy again. A week or so in the hospital and a month out isn't going to magically fix us. Austin was still dealing with a loss, Tony and Matty were still dealing with exes. Oli was dealing with an overly hyper dog and the death of a best friend. Kellin still has an abusive dad, Alex still has to deal with rumors and bullying and I still have to cope with the loss of someone I truly loved every day. Losing the ones person who meant the world to me has brought me into a group of friends who will help me over that loss.
We weren't fixed but were not entirely broken.
"Okay guys, tomorrow Vic's house. First one there besides Vic gets to pick the movie," Alex reasoned, jumping to his feet. We all followed heading back to our separate cars.
"So what about you?" Kellin asked, joining on the walk to my car.
"What about me?"
"What are you going to do now? You asked everyone else but what about you?" I smiled at him playing with his hand.
"Well I'm going to do this. Hang out with the guys, fall deeper and deeper in love with you. There will also be a Pierce The Veil with special guests Sleeping With Sirens tour," I joked, nudging Kellin. "What about you?"
"I'm going to fall deeper and deeper in love with you of course and take on a world tour with you, Sleeping With Sirens with special guests Pierce The Veil." He stuck his tongue out at me, giving me a playful glare.
"I have an idea! World tour. Pierce The Veil and Sleeping With Sirens co-headlining. Sound fair?" I asked him, leaning in to give him a kiss. He smiled back at me, placing his lips on mine.
"It'll never happen but sounds fair," he mumbled, smiling against my lips.
"Love you," I smiled, kissing his nose.
"Love you too."
Nothing was certain in any of our heads. We all dreamed of what we want to do but who knows if it will work out? Guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
A/N THE END. Thank you guys so much for sticking it our through my first ever fan fic. It was a wild ride! If you enjoyed it I just started another fic called Wasted & Thinking About The Past. I feel like it'll be kickass ;) thanks guys!
