"How are you going to tell your parents?" Katie, one of my best friends said, sitting with me as I sobbed on the bathroom floor, trying to comfort me.
"Oh, god. I-I don't know." I said, my arms hugging my knees into my chest. I slid my legs down and rubbed my lower abdomen. "I just wanna know how it's possible and why did it happen to me?" I spoke, just above a whisper.
"Do you know who's it is?" She asked me.
"No idea. After that night, it's like I woke up with amnesia." I said.
"I'm sure that if you're parents love you enough, they'll accept it and they'll help and teach you through it." She said." You should tell them tonight. Y'know? Just get it off your chest and I bet it will be a huge weight lifted off your shoulders." She is right. I'll tell them tonight after dinner.

"Mom. Dad. Shannon. Can I talk to you guys for a second?" I asked, walking down the stairs. I was in my room for about an hour after supper, trying to think of how to tell them. Why am I so stressed about telling them?! I tell them everything! I just thought, fuck it. Tell them.
"Of course, Hun!" My mom said.
"What's up, kiddo?" My dad said, putting down his newspaper. Shannon, my sister, and my parents eyes all adjust on me. I walk over to the couch and take a seat.
"There's something I gotta tell you guys." I said, taking in a deep breath.
"What is it, sis?" Shannon said, curious. I sighed, taking some deep breaths, my heart beating a mile a minute. 'Tell them! What's the worst that can happen?' I thought to myself.
"Ok. Here it goes..." I spoke. "I-I'm pregnant." I just made out. It did feel like a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders. But that feeling didn't last long, as my dad's face went angry, my moms was complete shock and disapointment. My sister on the other hand, seemed happy shocked.
"That's awesome, Amelia!" My older sister said, hugging me from the side.
"NO! That's not awesome, Shannon!" My dad shouted with anger. "MY BABY GIRL SHOULDN'T BE HAVING A BABY OF HER OWN!"
"HOW COULD YOU DO THIS?!" My mom shouted at me, tears started forming in her eyes.
"I DIDNT MEAN TO!" I shouted back, tears started falling down my face. "I got a little drunk and I guess I slept with someone." My voice shook, saying it a little quieter.
"Do you not remember who it was?" Shannon asked, worried.
"N-no." I spoke." I don't remember anything from that night."
"UGH! YOU'RE SUCH A SLUT, AMELIA!" He screamed at me with a tone of disgust. As those words hit me, I started bawling.
"DAD! DONT SAY THAT!" Shannon shouted. He looked at her, his face going all red.
"SHUT UP! YOU'RE NOT APART OF THIS!" He yelled more. "DONT DEFEND YOUR WORTHLESS WHORE OF A SISTER." My mom just kept crying in the corner.
"EITHER YOU GET AN ABORTION, OR WE'RE LEAVING!" My mom finally shouted something.
"NO!" I screamed, a voice crack peeked out." I CANT KILL AN INNOCENT UNBORN BABY! ITS MURDER!" I cried.
"THEN WE'RE LEAVING!" She shouted, getting out of her chair. My dad watched her as she made her way upstairs.
"Pack your bags, Shannon." My dad said walking out of the room. "We can't allow disappointments in our family." He said harshly over his shoulder. Hearing that broke my heart. I look over at Shannon. She scoots over and hugs me.
"I'm so sorry." She whispered. As she said that, my dad shouted again.
"NOW!" He screamed from upstairs. She let go of me and got up. Before walking away, she mouthed ' I love you ' before walking upstairs. As I watched her make her way upstairs, the tears started pouring down my face.
After an hour of crying and screaming, I looked out my bedroom window as I watched my family drive away. My own family, leaving me on my own. How could they call me a worthless whore? A slut? A disapointment? Those thoughts from tonight ran through my mind over and over. The words repeating in my mind. I couldn't take it. I ran to the bathroom, opening the drawers , looking for a sense of release. My hands tremble as I grab it. I lean against the wall, sliding down to the ground. I look at the sharp piece of metal, tracing my index over the thin edge. Before I know it, the metal is held up to my red skin, waiting for the sense of release. I sigh, as the canvas is no longer blank, leaving my parents' "disapointment" on the ground, watching the fresh paint from her canvas drip on to the floor.
