"Are you excited that Luke's coming home tomorrow?" My friend Rebecca said to me, then taking a bite of her salad.
"Excited? I'm freaking out!" I said, putting down my pizza. "Yes I miss him so much, but he doesn't even know about Aiden yet, so I'm scared how he's going to react." Taking a drink of my apple juice.
"Im sure he won't make a big deal about it, Amy." Katie said. "If anything, he will be thrilled to see how responsible you've gotten."
"And before he left i was 7 months pregnant and he didn't even notice my bump, thank god it wasn't very big. All i told him was that my parents were away a lot. And it's almost been two years since he left so a lot has changed. Since their covers became so popular, he went on three tours, and became more and more famous while living in England during the time. It kind of kills me seeing his face online or in magazines." I said, holding back a tear.
"But have you seen his band members though?" Meghan said. "Oh my god. They are like gods!" she started fanning herself. "Especially the drummer, Ashton."
"I've seen a couple pictures, and whenever I Skype with Luke the boys are never around. So I've never met them." I said, finishing up my lunch.
"When you do, get the purple haired one's number for me, will ya?" Meghan said, giggling. I picked up my tray, dumping out leftovers into the garbage and putting the tray back at the counter. I pull out my phone and hit 1 on speed dial, walking towards my locker.
"Hi Amy!" the cheery woman on the end of the line spoke.
"Hey Liz! Just checking up on things!"I responded. "How's my boy?"
"He's great! He's just siting in front of the tv watching The Backyardagans and playing with his little truck." she said, giggling.
"Great! Let me talk to him!" I said, smiling.
"Mama?" I hear on the other line, making me smile wider. Hearing that voice brightens up my day.
"Hi baby. Mamas gonna be home in a few hours, ok?" I say.
"Ok mammy." he spoke in his toddler talk.
"Mama loves you very much!" I make a kissing noise into the phone.
"wuv you too!" he tried saying.
"And don't worry Amy, I fed him lunch already and I'm gonna give him a small snack before you get home." Liz said.
"Thank you so much Liz! You have no idea how much I appreciate this!" I said.
"Its no problem at all, dear! I love taking care of him! He reminds me of when Luke was a baby!" she chuckled a bit.
"We'll thank you so much! Now I got to go. Next period is about to start!" I say, closing my locker.
"Alright Hun! ill see ya in a few hours!" she spoke.
"Bye!" I hung up my phone, making my way to my next class.

"Liz! I'm back!" I shout, walking into the house.
"Kitchen!" She shouts back. I make my way in and there she was wiping food off of Aiden's face, squishing his chubby cheeks. "Look! It's mama!" She said to him. Hearing the word 'mama' makes him so happy. He looked over at me and his huge smile appeared, his hazel/green eyes bright and his big dimples showing more than ever.
"There's my little man!" I said, putting my bag down and picking him up, he wraps his tiny arms around my neck and I kiss the top of his head. "Thanks again Liz! I appreciate it very much!" I gave her a hug.
"No problem at all, dear! He keeps me company all day! And it's entertaining when he's off in another world!" She chuckled.
"Well I'm about to head out for groceries, do you need me to pick you up anything?" I offered.
"Oh, no thank you. I'm heading out later anyway." She declined.
"So are you excited that your little boy is finally coming home?" I asked her, rocking back and forth.
"Yes! I haven't heard from him yet but I bet he's excited to be home." She said.
"Well anyways, I better head out." I say, walking towards the door." Would you like to come over later for some tea?"
"I'd love to! Oh, and Amy! Before you leave, how'd you like it if you helped me throw a little welcome home party for Luke?" She asked.
"Sure! Sounds like fun!" I say, opening the door. "See ya later, Liz!" I close the door behind me and walk over to my front porch. I put down Aiden quickly so I can unlock my door. I pick him up, open the door and put him in his little play pen, then walk upstairs. I then change out of my school uniform. I honestly will burn that skirt at the end of the year. I brushed through my messy blonde hair, then threw it up into a messy bun. I slipped on a pair of light ripped skinny jeans, a bright red tank top, and put on a cream coloured blazer to finish the look. I applied some more mascara to make my blue/green eyes pop and added lip gloss, then ran downstairs. I slipped on a pair of blue and white faded TOMS, grabbed my purse and keys and picked up my son. We left the house and I locked the door behind me. I open the back door of my Dodge Journey and buckled him in his little car seat. I closed the door and ran to my door. I started the ignition and put the car in reverse. As we're pulling off, Aiden yells "WEEEEEEEEEE!" He loves car rides.

We're on our way back from our grocery run. I had my playlist on and Aiden's in the back with a lollipop and his teddy bear, trying to sing along. Right now, I'm singing along to Something Bad by Miranda Lambert & Carrie Underwood. I've always loved country music for some reason. It's catchy, and I'm glad Aiden actually likes it. He loves music like I do. I'll play anything and he'll wanna sing and dance.
As we're pulling into our driveway, I notice a black SUV in Liz's driveway. I just ignore it. I pull out the keys and get out of the car. I go over to Aiden's door and unbuckle him, picking him up and closing the door with my hip. I open the trunk and grab three grocery bags, knowing I'll come back out for the rest, I leave the trunk open. As were about to walk to the house, Aiden dropped his teddy. I squat down and put him down. I grab his teddy and hand it to him. "You gotta hold onto your teddy or else you'll loose him, ok?" I told him, looking in his adorable big eyes. He just nods. I wrap my arm around him and try to stand up straight. Before I turn around, I hear a deep voice behind me. "Amelia?" I turn around and there stands a very confused boy I hardly recognized.
"Luke."
