Amelia's POV

To: Ash xx

I forgot to tell you that I work today! Hope you don't mind watching Aiden a little longer! :)

I typed, before sliding my phone into my bag and grabbing my tray. I sat down at our usual table in the cafeteria, waiting for the rest of my friends. Usually I'm the last one to get to the table, but today nobody was here yet. I shrugged it off, opening the container in front of me before taking a bite from my salad. I sit in silence, staring at my food. I then see two figures appear in front of me. "What took you so - OH MY GOD YOUR HAIR IS PINK!" I looked up in shock.

"Yeah," Meghan said, placing her tray down across from me. "The red was fading so much." She grabbed a strand of her hair. Her and Becca then took their seats across from me.

"Where's Katie? I haven't seen her today." I spoke, taking another bite of my salad.

"She was in French today, but she seemed kind of odd." she started. "She wasn't paying any attention and was texting the whole time." she then took a bite of her pizza. That's not usually like Katie. She's usually on top of her school work. Just as my thoughts broke, Katie comes over and sits down, a smile not leaving her face.
"Whatcha smiling about?" Meghan asked, a cheeky grin on her face. Katie's head shot up and her face went straight.

"Huh? What?" she asked confused. "Oh, um... just was thinking of something funny that happened in my Sociology class." she mumbled, playing with her plate of pasta in front of her with her fork, before the smile reappeared on her face.
"So what'd you guys do last night?" I asked, before taking a sip of my water.

"I just watched Netflix." Meghan chuckled.

"Bullshit." Becca spoke. "You were texting Tinky Winky." We all laughed as Meghan's face went red. "Well, I ate a whole pizza, not that anyone cares." You could hear the sarcastic tone in her voice. We all laughed. "Katie, what'd you do?" Her head shot up.
"Huh? Oh. Nothing. Just... studied." She mumbled, looking back down at her food. I could tell it was a lie, but I just shook it off.

"What about you Amy? Anything special with drummer boy?" Meghan smirked, wiggling her eye brows. I could feel the heat rising to my cheeks as my mind flashed back to last night. The way it felt to be in Ashton's arms. The way his eyes fluttered closed, before his lips lightly touched mine, which made my heart jump a thousand miles. The way you could get lost in his eyes. He's the first person to actually make me feel important in years, since Luke left. Yeah, he's finally home and all, but he seems kind of distant since he got back. I wish he could tell me what's wrong.

"Yeah, we saw Ouija yesterday." I spoke, a smile spreading across my face.

"You kissed, didn't you?" Becca spoke, leaning in. I didn't even have to nod my head, the smile on my face basically explained everything. Her jaw dropped, as she smacked the table with the palm of her hand. "Shut up! You did!"

"I didn't even say anything!" I laughed.

"Did you really have to?" She chuckled. I took a last bite of my salad, then drank the rest of my water, before standing and picking up my tray.

"Well, I got to go talk to my Chemistry teacher about the notes I missed." I spoke, tossing my apple up in the air, before catching it again. "I'll see you guys later!" I waved, before walking to the garbage. They all waved as I dumped my trash into the bin, before returning the tray to the kitchen. As I made my way to my locker, my phone got a text alert. I pull it out and open the text.

From: Ash xx
No problem! You busy after? Maybe dinner? :-) xx

I blushed as I read his text.
