IMPORTANT FOR STORY! MUST READ!
So for now on, the boys haven't released the album yet. Sorry for the random change, it's just part of the story line I wanna work with so it's makes it easier to write. Just try to understand my point of view as i have certain Ideas I wanna use and it would be difficult to work with if I stayed with my original storyline and it would go nowhere.
Love you guys!xx
Luke's POV
"So I'm still going to school regularly and I'm working at American Apparel." Amelia explains.
"How do you afford to pay the bills every month?" I asked.
"My parents still pay them for me, so that way I don't have to live with them." She says.
"Who watches Aiden while you're gone?" I ask, curiously.
"Your mom. She does such a great job." She says, smiling. "She's his god mother for a reason. Besides, Aiden loves her."
"Wait, how did I not know about any of this? About your parents, about my mom being a god mother, or even about Aiden existing?" I said, starting to get defensive. She looked at me with shock as I continued. "Why didn't you tell me about this before I left?" Her facial expression went into sadness and guilt, looking down to the floor. After a moments pause, she finally speaks up.
"I was scared. I didn't want you to leave me like everybody else, making me more alone than before." Not making any eye contact with me. You can tell by the way she was talking that it hurt her not to tell me, but at the same time, I couldn't just forgive her like that for something that big. Just as I was about to say something, she beat me to it. "Excuse me for a minute." She says, walking upstairs while holding her wrist. "If you can watch Aiden for a minute that'd be great." She says. I agreed, so I went over and sat in the living room.
Amelia's POV
My wrists were tingling. I had to excuse myself to take care of it. I walk into my bathroom and take off my blazer, digging through the drawers, looking for my sense of release again. I grabbed the thin piece of metal and slid down to the ground, tracing its sharp edge as the same picture flashes through my head that night I became a disgrace to my parents. My canvas was slightly faded since I've been 3 days clean. I flinch as I start painting the same picture I have for 2 years, tears start falling to the floor. I sigh as the canvas is complete, leaving the paint to drip on the floor. I just sat there, sobbing and thinking. Thinking about that night I told my parents I was pregnant, to giving birth to one of the best things that's ever happened to me, but also somewhat ruined my life. I also thought about how much Liz is like a mother to me. She's the only one that hasn't left me, yet. I then started thinking of Luke. The day he told me he was going on tour, the day he left, he gave me a notebook that day, telling me to promise to fill it up with memories and when he got back, we'd make more. Since then, I have filled it with some memories. The good ones anyway. From the day that Aiden was born, to his first birthday, to his first word. Those days are meant to be remembered.
A knock at the door interrupted my thoughts. "Amy?" The voice asked. I didn't answer, I just kept letting the tears fall. "Amy. Open the door." They ordered. I still didn't answer. "Amelia. What's wrong?" I didn't bother answering them. Next thing you know, the door opened and there stood a shocked Luke. "Oh my god! Why, Amy?" He asked, coming over and sitting beside me. The tears started falling harder as he wrapped his arms around my shoulders.
"I'm such a disgrace." I whisper, causing more tears to fall. I started shaking. Luke just pulled me closer to him, resting his head on top of mine.
"You're not a disgrace, Amelia. You're an incredible human being. When you do this, it kills me knowing that you're doing this to yourself." As he spoke, he got up and grabbed a cloth, running it under some water. He squats down in front of me and grabs my arm, dabbing the blood away. He looks up at me and smiles. "You're perfect." He leans down and kisses my wrist. "Promise you won't do it again. Please. Do it for Aiden." He begged. He grabbed my other arm and dabbed away the remaining blood. He then kissed my wrist again and looked me in the eye, worry taking over his face. "Pinky promise?" He held out his pinky, like we did as little kids. When he said that, more memories flooded my mind.
*flashback*
"Let's not let anything get in our way, no matter what." My 12 year old self said. We were on the roof of Luke's house, both of us looking up at the stars.
"Yes. Through thick and thin, we're staying best friends forever." He paused. "Pinky promise?" He held out his pinky to me. I looked at him and smiled. He was smiling back. I stick out my pinky and hook onto Luke's.
"Pinky promise."
*end of flashback*
Thinking of that night made me remember why I'm still here, for my son, for my best friend, for Luke. I look up at Luke, sticking out my pinky and hooking it with his. The same picture from 6 years ago on his roof flashed in my mind again. A small smile spreads across my face."Pinky promise."
