Chapter 20

It's been a week and me and my dad haven't said so much as even a word to each other.
I was sitting in Jacky's lap and we were watching TV when I felt his hot breath on my neck as he whispered in my ear.
"I know your still mad at your dad about him hitting you, he didn't mean to but you know you have to forgive him sometime"
I looked down at our laced fingers as I muttered under my breath.
"How can I"
He kissed my cheek.
"Just go talk to him, for me please."
I sat there in thought then I let go of his hands and got up, I walked to my dads bunk and stood there, then I poked him.
He looked at me.
"Yeah what is it?"
I then broke down and stared bawling, I fell to my knees and covered my face with my hands and I continued to sob.
"I-I-I'm s-s-so-sorry d-daddy"
I felt arms wrap around me tightly and pull me close.
"Shhh shhh" my dad said rocking us back and forth.
"I'm sorry daddy I'm so so sorry" I sobbed into his chest.
"Shhh it's ok baby girl it's all ok, I'm not mad, now look at me." he said lifting my chin so I could look at him.
"I'm sorry, I could never stay mad at you, I love you daddy." I clenched his shirt in my fists as I cried into his chest.
"It's ok baby girl it's ok just calm down"
My dad said as he continued to rock us back and forth, till I think we then both fell asleep my head on his chest and his arms around me.

I woke up to people having a conversation.
"Jacky do you promise?"
I heard my dad say.
"Yes Ronnie I promise, actually I promise on my life."
