Many miles I roam
To see you home.
To take you home.Many miles I roam
To see your smile
To hold you for awhile.Many miles I roam
To wrap you in my arms
To keep you safe from harm.With music in my ears
I sit and stare as the miles flows by;
Streaking like a stone
Thrown under a sparkling blue sky.Just a moment from home.
An instant from your smile.
As I long to hold you for awhile
I smile ear to ear
As you get nearer and near.As I roam
Closer to home
At times I sing melodies to half remembered songs
Whose tone, melody and words I most times get wrong.Many miles I roam
To deliver Love of which I have plenty
Even when I am running on emptyThe wind in my hair caresses;
It does does not distresses.
Combed is each strand
Just like the grass on the land.
Just like the grains in the sand.Homeward bound
My heart beats a merry sound.
An echoing beat is felt when feet meets ground.Many miles I roam
To see you home.
To take you home.With you in my heart
I am never alone
When the many miles I roam.
